Stuck seat post- worth buying?

He says he's tried wd 40, pipe wrench, and a sledgehammer. I've read that if these fluted seat posts are positioned this low, the flutes allow a lot of moisture into the seat tube, so the issue could be pretty bad. I was thinking of offering $50, but I feel bad undercutting the price. This would be the fanciest bike I've ever owned.

I was going to try chemically disolving the corrosion and drilling through the seat post to fit a bar through laterally to apply as much torque as possible.

If it works, I'd feel bad for making such a lowball offer, and if it doesn't, I'm out $50. I figure the components are probably worth more anyway?

SR Campus Sport Age?

Cleaned up the drive train on this SR step-through I found for my girlfriend to use as a commuter. I'm trying to figure out the age. What I've found online suggested these are from the 80s, but I read that Tange 5 was discontinued in '73. Components are all say Shimano with no parts names. Head tube shifters, caliper brakes, 12 speed. Frame pump is from a french bike.

Thanks for any help.

Bent Seat Stay On Salvaged Specialized Frame

I got a salvaged 80s-90s Crossroads from someone who had had it on a rear car rack, and got rear-ended by another driver. The left seat stay has a bend in it. The rear wheel appeared undamaged, and still fit in it's mount when I took it off, and the chain stay appears to be unaffected as well. I have not checked if the rear wheel is misaligned, but it was able to spin freely.

Should I be concerned about safety building on this frame? If not, is it worth re-setting the bend at all, if alignment isn't an issue? Or is there garunteed to be an alignment problem with a bend like this? I can't tell if this is one of the models with all chromo tubing or just main tubes.

Dents On a Salvaged Giant Frame

I picked up a chromo frame for free which was saved from metal scrappers by a concerned citizen.

There are a few dents in the top tube which I have pictured. They appear dimpled, but not creased or puckered at the sides- not sure the metalurgical term for that kind of deformation. Is it safe to build on this frame, or should I be concerned about it collapsing? The fork seems in perfect condition, so I might swap it out on another salvage bike with an aged front suspension.

Antelope 830, not sure what to do with it

Looking for general advice/what would you do with this frame.

I got this to fix up and take on trails that I can't make with my commuter bike. So far all I've done is remove a kickstand that had kind of crunched the frame a little. Initially I was thinking of swapping the wheels for 700s, but I don't think the fork can fit them even woth road tires, and as-is, the frame is already on the tall side for me. Tires and rims seem ok so I'm fine sticking with these, and the fenders look cute.

I was thinking of swapping out the bar for something lower- i'm most used to a flat bar, but I was considering trying a drop bar setup. The thought is that I want to use a more forward posture- but I tend to stand out of the saddle a lot of the time in general when I'm on more upright bars. I don't know a ton about posture etc.

I rode a trek 4300 for years as a commuter before i wore out the frame and loved that bike. Recently I've gotten back into bike commuting with a 90s Specialized Crossroads that got dumped in my garage.
