Growing Your Art Account

I’ve started posting my art online about 6 years ago. I’ve mostly posted on insta but have branched out onto TikTok and have tried twitter + threads a little too. Since then I’ve tried learning different methods to grow my art page, tried new features, gave insta reels a go, tried posting at “peak engagement hours”, really any tip I could find. But even after all that and all these years of posting I still sit at about 200 follows and about 20 likes per post on average. I have heard you need to build friendships with your mutuals but I’m not as good at keeping up with online friends. Not to mention even then it would only add a few extra people supporting you, just doesn’t sound like would make much of a difference.
I’ve heard the basics of growing online a hundred times over by now but I guess what I’m wondering is what are some of the less common tips that actually worked for you?

I know the point of art isn’t how many follows you have and I’m still going to create regardless. But it’s just frustrating realizing how long I’ve been doing this for without growing. Especially when all the others accounts I follow have at least been growing a little through the years

Thanks for reading 💙

Jumpin Spider was a character I created when I was a boy, I had to give him a design once I saw the Spidersona trend 😊 Paintings done on procreate
