Got my CELPIP Score

Got my CELPIP Score

This was my first attempt. I only reviewed for about a week, and YouTube videos helped me a lot. I know a lot of people say the CELPIP is easy, but I honestly found the exam quite difficult. I walked out thinking I didn’t do very well, so I was pleasantly surprised by my results.

Good luck to everyone taking the test, you’ve got this!

I think I just experienced 'subtle' racism

I've been in CA 🇨🇦 for less than a year. My university sent me to Vancouver for a one week event, all expense paid. I was so excited to meet new people and explore the city. Everything was okay at first, masaya kami lahat during the first meet. I think apat lang kaming ibang lahi, and I'm the only Filipino. When i did my speech during the event, and i received some attention from the higher-ups, even offering me a job once I graduate, there was a sudden shift from the other participants. Suddenly, I was excluded sa mga gala, they won't even say 'hi' back to me kapag binabati ko sila. I could also feel some looks on me. I'm just glad that the other 3 people, who are also Asians, were nice to me. We became friends and we just go out na kami-kami na lang since they do not include us sa mga galaan. I really felt sad the first day of the event kasi akala ko may nagawa talaga akong hindi maganda. It was my first time experiencing that. Is this really a normal occurrence?

Short update on my previous post (Canadian crush)

Above is my previous post ^^

Dahil may mga nanghihingi ng update, unfortunately, nothing much happened na after those. So our last requirement sa subject as master's students is to present our paper sa class. I think i presented well and was able to answer my prof's questions. Nung nagtanong na si prof kung sino pa may questions, her friend asked something lang and after i answered it, she raised her hand. Then sabi lang niya "oh i think you did really well, and i specifically like that you showed possible negative net present value outcomes..." blabla basta it's about the analysis i did and so i just said "thank you, appreciate it."

Before the class ended, our prof asked the grad students na mag-stay tapos yung undergrad free na sila to go. Kaso di pa siya umalis kasi i think she's still doing something sa laptop niya. Noong paalis na ako, nag-pack na siya and i dunno kung assuming lang ba ako or sinadya niya magsabay kami sa pinto 😭. So i said sorry kasi medyo natamaan ko siya 'cause i was busy with my phone and she said "no worries" while smiling naman.

Ayun lang huhu, sorry to disappoint. It's the spring semester so wala na talaga classes kaya baka di na kami masyado magkita :(( makes me sad pero ano gagawin ko HAHAHAHA. Just wanna share na ang hot ng suot niya the other day na nakasalubong ko siya. She was just wearing a shirt na bagay sa body niya HUHUHU. Guys please ang hirap maging bading. The struggles i face chz. Ayun lang, good night there sa ph!

First time having a Canadian crush, but definitely out of my league

Hi! So i just wanted to share my first time having a really big crush sa ibang lahi. I'm living in Canada and currently finishing my master's program. There is this one class where undergraduate and graduate students are joined together. She is in her last year of her undergraduate program while I'm in my first year. I noticed her first day pa lang ng klase because she's so pretty. Then we had this group activity where each master's student will be assigned to an undergraduate group, and fortunately, i was assigned to her group. Before that, whenever I'm asking academic questions sa mga katabi ko or even to my professor, she would most of the time butt-in and answer my question. I did not find it rude or anything, I know she wanted to help, but here I am assuming she wanted to interact with me.

During the group discussion, she assigned our two groupmates to work together, while the two of us will work on the other topic. I enjoyed it, she lead the group hahahaha which is very beneficial for me as an introvert. After the discussion, I know she knew my name because my professor mentioned it a lot of times, but she called me when i reached my seat and asked my name. I went to her and leaned in and asked "sorry?" kahit narinig ko naman hahaha. She leaned in then repeated it softly while smiling ( 🤧🫣 i'm dying). Tapos when i said my name, she repeated it. I then asked her name din, and medyo napatigil lang kasi kapangalan niya first MU ko back in the PH. Tapos di ko na alam next kong sasabihin so i just nodded and smiled, then noong pabalik na ako sa upuan, she shouted "it's nice to meet you" then lumabas na agad siya sa room.

After that, i would sometimes notice her in my peripheral vision looking at me. I found her socials and bodybuilder pala siya. She's smart, pretty, and has a really nice body, very out of my league hahaha. She's also really rich. So tinigil ko na yung fantasies ko, as someone who is still building up herself hahaha, she obviously deserves more (as if naman crush niya ako 😂 )

Recently, we had a research competition and she won in the undergrad while i was the one who won in the grad category. During class, I heard her talking to her friends about me. She referenced my paper and how i presented it and said "she's like my biggest crush and she was really good, you guys should have watched it"

It was then that i noticed that when she talks to others, it's always monotone. But when she talks to me, she's always smiling. Hindi naman masama umasa di'ba? 😂 But yeah, I'm just happy that she noticed and appreciated my work. Tinigil ko na ang pag-asa because she's definitely out of my league. It has been quite some time bago ako nagka-crush ulit talaga. She deserves the world tho, and i'm very happy with her achievements.
