Legal advice about a recent motor vehicle collision.

My wife was just involved in a motor vehicle collision. Per her report, she was entering the highway when it happened, and there’s a blank spot in her memory after that.

When I got to the scene, the tow truck driver handling my wife’s vehicle said another tow truck driver witnessed the incident before he arrived, and he witnessed the other vehicle involved in my wife’s collision almost hit (the original tow truck driver), and he also witnessed the other vehicle in the collision hit my wife’s rear bumper (like the maneuver a police car uses to spin out a car), and caused my wife’s vehicle to spin sideways on the highway. My wife’s car is reportedly going to be written off as a complete loss due to multiple damages including a cracked engine block.

The police are alleging they found my wife at fault for the damages to the other vehicle, and she consequently has a court date for next month. I’m wondering what can be done to help protect her in this situation.

I need help troubleshooting a problematic smoke detector.

I just replaced all of the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in our house. There is one alarm on the first floor that has continued to chirp periodically. Just one beep. Not often, and not on any sort of time interval that I can tell. It could chirp once in two hours, or twice in two minutes. None of the other replaced alarms are doing this.

I considered the possibility that the replacement detector was faulty and replaced it. It still chirps like this. This is the alarm used:

Does anyone have experience with this issue? What do I do?

EDIT: this is a brand new smoke detector.

I ordered some of the Mess Toys Spidey figures and decided to do a series of photo shoots with them. First up is Superior Spider-man.
