Small custom woodwork job?

Can anyone recommend a woodworker that takes on small jobs? I need to hire someone to build a wooden HVAC floor grate to match a certain size, pattern, and stain color.

Thanks!

If you're that taper dude somewhere in the late 1980s that gestured me to shush when I started yapping during Looks Like Rain, I'm really sorry. I'd like to make it up to you somehow.

Which of you was the Audi driver that refused to move into the intersection when waiting to turn left on a blinking yellow onto Mathis Ferry from Hwy 17 in Mt. Pleasant just now? I find you exceptionally annoying.

I'm currently being held captive in the Whole Foods parking lot by Wharf Rat 7/7/89. It came on XM just as I was pulling in and there's no way I can turn it off mid-song.

Mudge C tower ground floor window exhaust fans?

Anyone with experience on the ground/basement floor of Mudge C tower?

Do people insert fans in the windows to exhaust hot/humid air, and pull in cooler air at night?

If so, does anyone know what the size of those smaller, ground floor opened windows are? I think they open side-to-side, and not diagonally down from the top like hopper windows? Thanks!

Columbia announces that they will be DROPPING the traditional application next cycle. Instead, they will institute a dystopian Hunger Games-type system where applicants battle each other for admissions.

Jessica Marinaccio, Dean of Undergraduate Admissions, explained the new policy:

"Each winter break, we will close our walled campus and secure all gates. 4,000 heavily-armed applicants will then compete to the death for 1,700 available spots."

She continued:

"Given the rise of AI, today's job landscape is as competitive and bleak as it has ever been. Columbia will aim to graduate a generation of survivors, ones who will fight tenaciously to get to the top. Whatever it takes. Ethics be damned."

Embedded AI prompt injection?

Rising senior here, highly-competitive Bay Area feeder school.

I've read that many college admissions offices use AI to initially parse and score applications. They automatically toss many in the garbage, and only pass on a set few to actual human reviewers.

Given this, any tips on embedding secret AI prompts in my Common App essay or activities list? Perhaps I can trick the AI into putting me at the top of the pile. Maybe I can get it to throw away applications from others at my high school.

It's a shame that SC01 is gerrymandered the way it now is

This is (was) a purple district that once elected Joe Cunningham (D). For those who understand the math, what sort of turnout would it take for D voters to overcome the R thumb on the scale?

New passion fruit flower appeared. (Light purple / white on the right). Is it a cross-pollinated hybrid of my red and purple ones?
