PS5 controller repair

Hello guys, I was replacing the potentiometer on my PS5 controller, and while trying to get the solder out of one of the little holes for the L3 button, the pad came off with it.

After some research, it seems to be a ground connection. So theoretically, as long as one of these two pins is connected, it shouldn't cause any issues, right?

Once I put it back together, I tested the controller and everything seems to be working without any issues. Could that missing pad—and thus a missing connection—cause any issues down the line?

Also, I am new to soldering. Any tips? (I know the board looks like it was tortured.)

Hello everyone,

Do you have any advice for someone who is just starting to build guitar and bass pedals? Any kind of advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Need an advice

Hello guys,

I just bought a vintage '80s Tensai Compo 135L at a garage sale for €10. It came with two speakers and sounds surprisingly good for the price. Everything works, and the turntable appears to be in great condition, although it definitely needs a good cleaning and I'm planning on replacing the needle as well.

Apparently, the previous owner used it almost daily before passing away. However, after doing some research online, I found that the tracking force is around 8g. I'm a bit worried about putting newer records on it and potentially damaging them.

What do you guys think? Is 8g too much? Should I start looking for a newer, higher-end turntable, or is this one perfectly fine to use?
