I can’t boot anything on libreboot with grub.

[Need help pls] Fresh install of libreboot on thinkpad t480 intel i5.
When grub is loading it cannot detect my previous arch install (which was efi booted so I get it) nor any of the bootable usb stick with arch installed (and or parabola).
From grub cli:
I do “set root=<boot partition/usb stick>”
I cannot use any .efi file with chainloader as it returns “error: unrecognize payload type”
I am able to somewhat boot the os with “linux vmlinuz-linux” and “initrd initramfs-linux.img” from my previous efi boot setup.

However when arch boot an error pops up :
“Failed to start Switch Root
See ‘systemctl status initrd=switch-root.service’ for details […]
Cannot open access to console, the root account is locked.
See sulogin(8) man page for more details
Press enter to continue”
With no possibility to enter a terminal.

When booting on archiso the issue is similar, entering in emergency mode however I have access to the shell.

I have a backup of my uefi but Iwould really like to make libreboot work.

Thank you for your time.

PS: I tried multiple usb sticks for the iso install.

[RESOLVED] Archiso booted perfectly for no reason after a few hours. I don’t know why.

Best way to store common data?

I have a large usb key that I will use to sync storage across multiple devices (phone, laptop, etc). The information stored goes from pictures, documents to encrypted password files. So far I have used the famous method of copy and paste to sync changes to the usb stick.
However this method does not work in the event where I modify data’s in both devices without syncing and having then to merge the changes.

What would be the best way to manage this?

I have thought of a git repository but idk. Also note that the folder is not yet encrypted but will be in a future setup.

Can you access and navigate compressed data without uncompressing it ? And if you can should you do it?

My understanding of lossless compression is that it eliminates statistical redundancy and therefore takes less space. However in the event that a bit is altered, it cannot be corrected. So it's a smaller but less stable way of storing data right? Therefore why can't we just access the data directly? Why do we need to "unzip" the data ? No information is created or lost from the archive, why would we NEED to unzip to read it ? I can't find an article online that gives a theoretical and critical answer. Is it just because no one bothered to make a script that allow that?
