So I recently purchased my first home and I’m in the N Spring St area, was curious if anyone has any experience with odd goings on late at night in this particular section of town? I got off work and was winding down when my doorbell was ringing nonstop at 12am.
Me being new to the this area of Pcola and finding it odd that someone’s ringing my doorbell late in the morning I wasn’t too enticed to open the door. When I did decided to open it I found my doorbell was stuck inside the outer casing causing it to ring continuously till I pressed it a few times to get it to reset. Won’t lie it made me a bit paranoid
My main question is has anyone experienced anything similar to this? I started casing my property just to put myself at ease. I’m aware there’s some homeless folks who coast through this area but I doubt anyone would just ring on random doorbells at 11:40-12am to get someone to open the door.

From Docs, getta grips, Solovair’s, NPS, and modern made Heads Threads, these are my personal collection. There may be a new pair being added to the collection that are supposedly older than my late 70’s (fingers crossed). The Mrs wants me to downsize so I might post some for sale here soon so keep an eye out

Solovair imo made some decent quality boots way back when their MO wasn’t all about how much money they could make in a year. These are probably the most interesting pair I’ve come across, and I believe these were the OxbloodOi! limited edition haircell leather boots that were released in 2018 (correct me if I’m wrong)
Anyways the leather is super thick but black backed cherry red topped finish with extremely tight gold stitching on the spine, eyelet panels, and heel counter.
I’ve talked personally with OxbloodOi about his partnership with Solovair and he wasn’t too happy with the results and quality that Solovair provided so he split on working with them in the future (sounds like someone else I’ve talked to) *cough cough* (HeadsThreads)
I’m starting to believe that any attempts at working with Solovair without THEM reaching out to you usually results in poor QC and lack of care on their end. Could just be coincidence but who knows.

Title says it all, I know I know I said I wouldn’t post anymore boot photos.. but I couldn’t pass these up, Astronaut style cut uppers and extra patch of leather in the heel. Not sure if these are safety rated (doubt they are) and I don’t intend on trying to find out.
Okay update on the HT’s boots. First photo is the most recent and they are still super solid. Mind you I did have some issues initially
Second and third photo the stitching came loose or popped on the right boot. I contacted Sam and he got on the issue immediately. I didn’t trust any cobblers in my area so I was given a shipping label to Sam’s personally cobbler and he knocked it out of the park.
Sam was extremely concerned when I sent the photos and made sure I was taken care of without a second thought. I know some people might say “a $400 pair of boots shouldn’t have any issues as soon as you get them” but honestly things happen.
I’m not disappointed or upset by this in the slightest, as these boots are designed to be repaired and resoled for years. I still stand by my purchase and believe that these are amazing boots (they still hurt like hell while breaking them in).
I guess what I’m trying to say is, these are Sam’s first run of his brands boots. No matter how many prototypes you make some minor issues pop up and he has dealt with them like a professional. So I anticipate the more boots he releases will just continue to be better than the last. Now if you’re still on the fence about it I can understand, because that’s a lot of dosh to drop on a pair of boots. But honestly I’m confident that it’s worth the price.

Here’s a bit of an oddity for you guys! Old school NPS 11 eye burgundy rub offs with foam midsoles. Probably one of the weirder pairs of boots I own. This will be the last pair of “new” boots I post in a long while (unless something I can’t pass up catches my eyes). I really do appreciate everyone who’s joined and helped spread the word of this sub it genuinely means a lot to me and I hope everyone’s having a great weekend!

Got this pair of getta grips in that can’t even compare to my late era Getta grip 10 eyes. The leather is solid and the toes don’t have a turn up like I’m climbing hills all day. (trust me I don’t like the yellow laces) might darken these up with some black polish and throw some burgundy or white laces in them when I get around to it
Last updated May 8th, received a call this afternoon saying that they have no idea where my package is since “the package always leaves and never stays at the post office”. Only options I have are to file a missing package/stolen package claim and since I’m out of a PC I can’t file the claim. It’s frustrating that USPS from what I’ve heard has started to get gutted by the federal government in hopes to privatize the mailing system (maybe I’m just crazy) but this is the second package in less than a month that’s been lost in the post.
I’ve decided to hang up my 10 eyes for these amazing 20 eyes and enlarge my septum to show how dedicated to the Skunx culture I am. I have to hide my face so the local boneheads can’t identify me. u/KneeBarbarian is giving me pointers on how to really cause some damage to the fascist scum along with u/73Hemi sending me good brand recommendations like Bleacher Co. for some new ass less chaps
