Fixing to get my first LMT, a specwar. From everything I have read it appears that the standard full auto lmt carrier paired with the enhanced lmt bolt is the way to go. How does that compare to the surefire OBC? Will the OBC suffer same issues as the lmt carrier in the 12.5 specwar? I’m assuming the LMT bolt is better than the surefire but the surefire carrier looks very promising. Possibly the best setup would be a surefire carrier with the lmt bolt? Can is an KAC MCQ-1. Opinions appreciated.

Morning to all. Currently a 25 year old male who is in sales full time who has completed 4 years of my 6 year Army Reserve Enlistment. Currently an E-4. I have my Bachelors of Science in Business Analytics from LSU I completed with a 3.0GPA. Originally I considered getting my letters of recommendation for Army OCS together, (2 from LTC’s, one from a MG, another from a LG, all army and marine corps folks) and decided against it with a very competitive civilian job offer after college graduation. What would the process be like attempting to go to OTS with a flight slot in the Air Force once my army enlistment is over? This is something I considered doing after high school and had met with ROTC recruiters and had stupidly decided against it due to having to do ROTC at a college of not my choice.

Looking into purchasing the shroud for my KAC MCQ-1. Host is a 14.5, so trying to keep the weight down where I can. I see some places list this shroud at a full pound, 16oz, and other listing around 2.5oz. Obviously I’m not wanting to add a whole pound to the end of a 14.5 but can anyone confirm weight? Would be much appreciated.

As the text states, having a awfully tough deciding between these two cans. The host is a 13.9 P&W Noveske Midlength gas system. Ironically I am P&W currently with a huxwrx flash hider currently. The cost does play a factor, but if the Mini 4 is objectively better in almost or all categories it will be worth it for me to un-pin and pin a surefire three prong on. I can be into a hux for about $400, or the mini 4 all said and done about $1,000. What would you all recommend? Very cautious about gas to face, sound quality and flash suppression. I do not have nods, may get them in the future, but do not have now.

(For me to run a Tisha, rhodie, fireteam etc, I will need to SBR and I would not like to do that.)
