Can I go to a zoo on my first proper date?
Hi everyone! I'm an 18F from Mumbai, and I'm thinking about asking a guy (18M) to Rani Baug (Veermata Jijabai Bhosale Udyan/Victoria Gardens) for what would basically be our first proper date.
For some context, we've known each other for several months through classes. We text regularly, have talked on calls, and are comfortable around each other. We've met outside of class a few times, but only for casual things like having snacks like vada pao, shev puri together, visiting a temple, and getting ice cream. We've never actually planned a proper date or spent several hours together.
I like the idea of Rani Baug because we can walk around, look at the animals, talk without feeling awkward, and it seems more relaxed than sitting in a café the whole time. It also isn't too expensive, which is a plus for both of us.
My questions are:
Is a zoo a good choice for a first proper date?
Does it come across as cute and thoughtful, or childish?
Have any of you been on a zoo date? How was your experience?
Are there any downsides I should consider (crowds, weather, too much walking, etc.)?
If you're from Mumbai, would you recommend Rani Baug, or would another place be better?
