Has anyone taken prednisone while taking LDN?

Soo I started LDN at .5mg almost 2 weeks ago to hopefully help with my MECFS. Side effects are getting a bit better I think thankfully. However... now a PA at my ENT's office prescribed me prednisone (60mg for 5 days then slowly taper down until I get to 10mg on day 10 and after that I stop) for ear fullness and pressure that I've been dealing with for MONTHS. I've had no success with other treatments so far and the next closest appointment isn't until October. My pharmacist said he didn't see any interactions between the two when he checked, but I still wanted to ask if anyone else had any experience taking both medications together.

Thoughts about the babies

Marking as a spoiler just in case, but although I’m happy with the babies I can’t deny that I’m a bit bummed that my farmers genes didn’t even try LMAO. That and the fact that the baby’s gender seemed to be locked (one gendered sprite per who you romance for the time being). I do hope we get some more customization in regards to the kids one day - I’d love if my baby at least had my eye color or something lol or at least the chance of having a girl or boy be random.

THAT ASIDE

the whole lead up to having the baby was SO sweet! I chose for my farmer to be pregnant instead of having the baby be delivered via stork, I was curious if there was any dialogue or anything related to pregnancy and there was! March constantly checking in with my farmer was so sweet and there were some occasional comments from other characters here and there. Ryis made a comment about how he thinks parenthood would help March mellow out and Maple asked me if the baby was going to be born “half blacksmith” because of March and that made me crack up.

If you choose for your farmer to be pregnant/give birth, they’ll have the baby at Valen’s clinic and I just thought that was cute. Valen made a comment along the lines of “as your doctor, I want to remind you to rest and take things easy. As your best friend I’d like to plan a day where we can get together and I can properly meet little Fray.” lol.

tldr; the baby events and dialogue in the update is sweet though I wish there was a bit… more? in some areas? but hopefully that’ll be expanded upon later on.
I’d love to hear other people’s thoughts on this!!

The fatigue is unreal

I was prescribed LDN by my states long covid clinic to hopefully help with MECFS and oh my word. I started it last night around 8:30pm, split my 1mg pill in half to 0.5mg like they told me to (though it was sort of uneven so I took the smaller half), and I feel SO beyond tired. It’s 1pm here now and I’m pretty much fighting to get up but all my body wants to do is sleep… but I’m worried that if I do, that it’ll mess with my circadian rhythm (which is already a mess and a half from my ME).

I know this is a side effect, but how long did it last for you guys when you started? Any advice and tips or anything else is appreciated of course!!

Prednisone?

My ENT office prescribed me a short dose of prednisone (10mg tabs, I believe like a 10 day course?) for a current eustachian tube dysfunction flare as I have ETD pretty chronically. It’s helped in the past, though it made me feel hyper-sensitive to everything and super irritable, but that was also before I developed ME. Has anyone had any issues with prednisone at all? (or had no issues?) Thanks!

What are we taking for sinus congestion?

Currently dealing with horrible sinus congestion and I'm trying to find something that'll help alleviate the pressure and mild pain that doesn't have dextromethorphan (or anything else that's known to interact with prozac) in it. Does anyone have anything they use that works well for them? Thanks!

Does anyone use a macbook?

I've been looking to switch from my windows laptop to a macbook due accessibility features (and other reasons but thats the big one for me rn) and I was wondering if anyone here develops their game on a macbook? If so, what model do you use/recommend? How is running renpy and any other tools you use for development? Thank you!!

(also if I need to change the flair to something different, please let me know and I will!)

Are there any ME resources specific for eye doctors?

I tagged this as doctors but if the flair's incorrect please let me know what to change it to! I had recently posted about how I'll be starting vision therapy for issues I'm having after suffering a mild concussion a couple months back... that appointment was supposed to be tomorrow, but I had to cancel as I'm still feeling a bit unwell after getting some blood drawn last week.

I called the office and explained why I was canceling (the receptionist was nice, but understandably did not get what MECFS is. I didn't have the energy to really explain anything beyond "any stimulation makes my brain inflamed and makes me super sick for a week or so") and was told that I could email the doctor I'm seeing about how I've been feeling and if there's anything else she should know. She treats Long Covid patients with vision issues related to that, so my mom had hoped that she'd be at least receptive to learning about ME if she was unfamiliar with it.

Are there any resources for eye doctors that I can send her way? If there's any resources for things like vision therapy and MECFS as well that'd also be great. I'm having difficulty finding things myself so if anyone has anything that might be helpful I'd greatly appreciate it!! Thank you!!
