I genuinely feel like I'm not fit to have a healthy relationship due to my sensitivity.

Just got back from hanging out with a guy I've been seeing for 2 months and I absolutely ruined it due to being too sensitive. After we had sex I started feeling really sad, so he asked me what was wrong, and I told him that sometimes I feel empty after sex. Thus ensued a long discussion where he was very upset and did everything he could to make me feel better, but I was inconsolable; I just couldn't feel safe or that he understood me. By the end of it, I'd cried so much and he was so deflated and just shut down because he felt that anything he said would just make it worse.

This has been a running pattern with previous guys I've dated as well. I share my feelings with them, I feel misunderstood/unseen by their responses, they say and do everything they can think of to make me feel better, but eventually become exhausted and shut down because they feel nothing they say can help me. Which is because I just don't feel seen or safe or understood by their responses, despite trying my utmost to explain that.

At this point I think I'm just too fucking sensitive to have a healthy relationship with a healthy human being. My emotional needs or expectations are just too high. And I feel sad because I really like this guy - he's great and caring, and I know he just wants to make me feel better - but he just can't, despite both of us trying our absolute best. And it's all because I'm too sensitive and, for some reason, feel the need to be understood on a level that just doesn't exist in normal life.

Help needed- looking to rent a room/apt near PCOM

I know this is a long shot but would anyone know of any *cheap* available rooms or apartments near PCOM? Or even in the general Philly area? I'm starting there this fall and am still on the hunt for a place. Would love a room in a shared house for $800/mo or less. Please help a girl out🙏

Question for people starting their PsyD programs this fall

Do you know anyone in your program/cohort, and if so, how did you meet them? I'm feeling a bit anxious about the fact that I'm going into this knowing literally no one, even though it's largely due to the fact that I got accepted in July (PCOM). I want to be more connected, and the fact that I'm not worries me because I have a tendency to struggle with isolation. Is it normal to know no one in your program or even your school? Any tips/words of advice would be great.

Is it a turnoff if a girl is very shy/reserved?

So I've been seeing this guy and feeling a bit insecure about my personality lately. He compliments my physical appearance, we do fun things together, have insane sexual chemistry etc-- but I've always been a pretty shy/socially anxious person. Last night we were talking and he made a comment about being shocked because "you're so quiet and reserved so when we get to the bedroom I'm like 'who is this person?' lol" and it got in my head a little. I think part of it is that he's a very socially fluent/outgoing person which makes me feel a bit insecure about my reservedness in comparison.

So, be honest: Is it a turnoff?

What are people doing for housing?

Title. Just curious what options people are going with -- Meta Christy? Off-campus? etc.

21F Grad student looking for roommate/apartment

Hey! Looking for a place in Philly. Not picky with specifics, just has to be affordable, like under $1000/mo per share. I'm an incoming 21F grad student at PCOM Philly, so looking to move in end of August. Ideally would like a roommate to split the cost. I don't smoke and don't have any pets; I'm chill with anyone as long as you're chill.

Feel free to reach out, happy to give you my number or insta as well!

PCOM Cost of Attendance?

Hey all, I was wondering if someone could help me crunch a rough/realistic COA of PCOM's PsyD program. They do have a projected COA on their website -- about $320K -- but I was wondering how much this could realistically be reduced given scholarships, work-study/part-time work, merit aid, living frugally, etc. I do know that tuition and fees alone cost about $130K right off the bat.

P.S. If anyone has attended PCOM's PsyD program and is willing to share how much it ended up costing them, I would be immensely grateful 🙏
