Hello folks

So it has been 3 months since I was laid off from my last Data Analyst role in Dubai, and honestly, this has been one of the toughest phases of my career. The job market in Dubai right now is the worst I have ever seen in my 6 YoE. There are hardly any new openings, and whenever a relevant role is posted, it gets 100+ applications within minutes. After that, it feels like your application just gets buried and never even reaches the recruiter.

During all this, I did manage to get interviews with some good product based companies, cleared all rounds in 2 interview processes and reached the second-last round in another one, but things still did not work out. In some cases, the requirement changed, the position went on hold, or I made mistakes from my side.

This market feels very cut-throat, and I am slowly just getting fed up of all this. I am now confused whether I should keep trying in the current market, wait it out until things hopefully improve around October, or start actively looking for opportunities back in my home country.

I am definitely sure there would be others going through similar phase. I would really appreciate any advice, referrals, leads, or even honest feedback on what I should do next.
