d'oh! i have no experience riding motos in dirt, so i went to the local ohv to fart around. was doing ok until this little pitch was steeper and looser than expected which resulted in a tip over. after struggling for forty odd minutes to stand her up, i threw in the towel and called the ranger for help. it sucks being old and weak. 😭😭😭 funtimes, tho! i ❤️ my t7!
new (to me) 2021 with 7.7k miles and paid $7.7k. super stoked! gonna ride it as is for awhile before making any mods. it feels so different from my 2014 fz-09, but i love both of these awesome yamahas!
My 2014 FZ-09 recently hit 50K miles, so I checked and adjusted the valve clearances (all intakes were in spec and all exhausts needed to be re-shimmed).
I also binned the OEM steerer bearings and installed conical roller bearings. Mini review: Hell yeah!
I heart my scooter!!!
Swapped out the garbage OEM ball bearings for some conical roller bearings. The front end feels solid now. 👍👍👍 For context: it's a 2014 with 50K miles. Last weekend's project was a valve check/adjust and yes, all the intakes were in spec and all the exhausts were tight and needed to be re-shimmed. The spark plugs looked fine so they went back in even tho the manual sez replace 'em. This bike is running like a top, is super fun to ride, and should last pretty much forever with basic maintenance. 👍👍👍
