Another VA tribute receiver

Got this one done up custum by Bad Attitude Dept. Early M16A1 receiver motif, with a tweak to the VA state seal instead of the Colt Pony. Huge shout out to u/BadAttitudeDept for excellent work. My third receiver from them so far.

The engraving is not as bold or deep as I expected, so need to figure out best options for painting.

Be kind, recycle ... and f@ck the VA AWB ...

I've caught a bad case of retro fever ... and a man cave getting full of empty boxes!

Making room for June's orders ... on the edge of the July 1 semi-auto ban in Va.

( and for the Karens out there ... obviously this is just a glamour shot before I flattened and folded up everything discreetly )

Credit card compromised via uber eats?

My kid did a no no ... she grabbed her debit card and used it to order via uber eats while I was out of town on an overnight business trip. This was the first and only online water she'd made with that card.

A week and a half later, her card started getting hit with multiple uber car charges. It was definitely not her since I had taken the debit card away from her.

Immediately locked the account and disabled the card. In the process of disputing the transactions.

Has this happened to anyone else?

PSA ordering issues ... anyone run into something like this?

Having mucho fun with the PSA website this week. Multiple issues. A courtesy discount code they gave me was invalid and so was the replacement code. The red bar error "Invalid code". Gave up on the coupon after several days of trying and go-arounds with customer service. So tried to order several rifles and then a new error after clicking submit --> "Order declined. Please ensure your information is correct ...."

Anyone else run into this kind of thing? PSA customer support on the phone was emphatic that everything looked fine to them on their end, and that the codes etc. were all valid. But on my end, just errors. I tried clearing cookies, using different browsers, and both my laptop and phone. And, yes, I doubled checked my credit card info, trying to use different cards ... No joy, any approach I tried.

Pulling the hair out of my head because I'm starting my last "assault-like" thingie purchases before the Great Virginia Ban hits.

My kid is kid is evaluating schools to pursue graphics arts and illustration, but with a secondary interest in psychology. I guess the bottom line question is Parsons vs. Tufts SFMA vs. Pratt. Vastly different schools, I know (#1 design vs. a New Ivy vs ...)

What’s the vibe of the community at Parsons?

If you had to do it all over again, would you still pick Parsons?
