Big muff sounds bad after ds-1+sd-1
It sounded totally normal before i added the ds-1 but it sounds super weak now, should i put it between the two drives? maybe before both of them? i unplugged it for now.

I’ve always wanted a strat with a chunky v neck profile and i finally got one💕These two strats are so different and i love it, 08 Billy Corgan signature hardtail usa strat, 26 vintera ii 50s.
The Vintera has a chunky V neck profile and a 7.25" fretboard radius, making it very comfortable and a joy to play. I can't put it down. The V shape allows for confident thumb placement, the rounder fretboard feels better for barre chords, and the narrower neck profile makes reaching your thumb over the low E string feel just right.
The bridges offer two very distinct feels. The hardtail is great for heavier music. The tuning stability is unreal, and combined with the comfort of a Strat, it's hard to beat. The classic Strat tremolo does everything it should, and I'd forgotten just how resonant it makes the guitar feel. The only thing I don't like is how scratchy the adjustment screws are. I might pickup an ashtray bridge cover.
The pickups are wildly different. The Vintera delivers classic Strat sounds. The clean tones are beautiful and crystal clear, and it loves some light overdrive from an SD-1. I might swap the bridge for a stacked single coil or a Quarter Pounder, as it sounds a bit thin.
The Corgan has a modified Air Norton in the neck, a Chopper in the middle, and a modified Tone Zone in the bridge. These are modern noiseless, high-output (13.47k) humbuckers that push mids. The 5-way switch splits the neck and bridge pickups in positions 2/4 and pairs either with the middle pickup. They sound amazing with distortion, though I do have to boost the treble on the EQ for Strat-like cleans.
The finish on the Vintera is so shiny and beautiful, it’s polyurethane perfection. The finish on the Corgan is thin satin nitro that's been played in over the years and feels very nice. Both guitars are carved from alder.
These two Strats cover a wide range, and I love them both.
trying to decide between a ds-1 or a bd-2, i’d like to push one of these with my sd-1 for hard rock, some light chugging with my super crush.
Into orange super crush 100, recently acquired The Depths, Rc-3, Somersault.
I previously had a fulltone deja vibe which was a super well made pedal and it felt great to use with the built in expression but, it just sounded bland? The first univibe i had was the depths, i liked it alot but i was desperate to get something with a treadle. So i picked up a used dunlop rotovibe. the rotovibe sounded good but you couldn’t actually hear the throb until you had the thing half way down, and for such an expensive pedal it felt cheap, like feels exactly like a crybaby wah. Then i got the deja vibe which i had for a long time, but i always craved the sound of the depths, so i sold it, picked up the depths and was left with enough cash to pick up a boss rc-3.
I use arrows essentially as an eq, i had an actual eq pedal but i found it too noisy and this tunes the super crush just right. I find it’s pretty much essential with this amp as the treble and bass knobs just don’t offer enough adjustment and it makes the amp sound like it should and gets it alot closer to its all tube big brother but at apartment volumes.
The Somersault is a really nice chorus/vibrato pedal, i love how easily it switches from lush chorus to lofi vibrato sounds. i previously had a ehx eddy and it sounded great! it’s really a great value, the knobs were terrible though. They’re tiny and really hard to turn, i do miss how adjustable the wave form was on that thing.
I’ve been trying to get along better with my sd-1 and keeping myself from buying a bd-2, right now with the volume cranked, and gain down low it sounds better than i’ve ever gotten it to. I guess with this setting i’m actually pushing the amp? I also push it with the arrows and the saturation is really something else.
Future plans: i need a boss dual foot switch for the looper, it’s too annoying getting all the way down there to press these tiny buttons. I’d love an octave pedal, i just want something that can detune so i don’t have to set up one of my guitars in drop c just to play one or two osees songs. Why is every decent octave pedal $300cad? Finally i would really love a boss tu-3, the behringer is perfectly fine and it’s an awesome value if you just need a tuner pedal, it just feels so cheap lol.
