Neighbor gave me this huge palm leaf from his backyard. I’m not sure if it’s aquarium safe, I believe it is, but if anyone can confirm that would be greatly appreciated!
Recently moved to this spot that has this kitchen sink drain and no garbage disposal. Worried about food bits getting into the drain and risking clogging it up. Any ideas on what I can use to stop the food bits? My best idea right now is just putting a mesh basket upside down on it…
I am renting so can’t do anything crazy :(
Also sorry if this shouldn’t be in this sub. I am desperate for help.
Edit: the drain doesn’t come off so I can’t put a sink strainer in the drain. I can only put something on top of the drain which is why I am desperate for help.
Edit: I don’t think people realize how shallow this sink drain is. It’s basically flush with the sink. Most sink strainers would have to sit on the drain upside down/basket up or else the basket wouldn’t fit.
And you cant risk just pulling it out like tags on normal clothes without risking it getting stuck or tangled in the sock threads 😔
Was testing some builds and this is my first time trying this combination out.
