QC — VSF Omega Aqua Terra 150M 41mm — Geektime

  1. Dealer name: Geektime
  2. Factory name: VSF
  3. Model name (& version number): VSF Omega Aqua Terra 150M 41mm, white/silver teak dial, orange seconds hand, silver markers, stainless steel bracelet, A8900 clone
  4. Price paid: $500
  5. Album Links: https://geektimeqc.x.yupoo.com/albums/250764312?uid=1
  6. Index alignment: Looks good to me, but this is the main thing I would like opinions on. I checked the dial with alignment lines and the 12/6 and 3/9 positions seem pretty good to me. I don’t see any obviously crooked markers, but I’d appreciate another set of eyes.
  7. Dial Printing: Looks clean to me. Omega/Seamaster and the lower Co-Axial/Master Chronometer text look centered and straight. Teak lines also look consistent.
  8. Date Wheel alignment/printing: Looks centered in the window to me. I have QC photos showing both 8 and 12 and both look good to my eye. Would appreciate opinions on the alignment and font.
  9. Hand Alignment: Looks good to me. I don’t see anything obviously crooked or misaligned.
  10. Bezel: Looks good to me. It’s the fixed Aqua Terra bezel, so no bezel insert/pip to check. Polished finish looks clean in the photos.
  11. Solid End Links (SELs): Looks good to me. I don’t see any obvious gaps between the end links and the case.
  12. Timegrapher numbers: -3 s/d, 283° amplitude, 0.2 ms vs beat error, 28,800 A/h. There is also another reading of about -2 s/d, 292° amplitude, 0.1 ms beat error. These seem good to me, but I’d like confirmation.
  13. Anything else you notice: This is my first time getting QC on an Aqua Terra, so I’m mainly looking for any obvious alignment or finishing issues that I may have missed. I’d appreciate any other opinions before I GL.

[Mixed Collection] Great grandfathers and grandfathers watches.

Found some old watches tucked away in a box from my grandfather and I’m so happy. Really excited to get a few of them serviced and cleaned up so they can be worn again. The Waltham automatic and the Elgin are definitely my favorites so far. There’s just something special about bringing these old family pieces back to life and imagining the stories they could tell after all these years!
