Money debited but Airtel recharge not done through BHIM UPI

₹349 debited from my SBI account for Airtel recharge through BHIM UPI, but recharge not done. BHIM app showing “transaction in process”. Anyone faced this before? Will it auto complete or refund?

I’m posting this because I genuinely don’t know what to do next.

I ordered Skechers On-The-Go 400 sandals (₹2,626) from Amazon India, but instead I received completely wrong items — two used slippers from different brands, and both were right-foot pieces.

I immediately raised a return request under “wrong item delivered.” The item was picked up on April 16 and returned successfully. Amazon tracking shows that they received the item and it went through their quality checks.

Initially, the app even showed that the refund would be processed after verification (₹2,621 to original payment method). Everything seemed normal.

But today, I received an email from their Executive Customer Relations team saying that they will not be providing a refund, based on their internal investigation — without giving any clear explanation.

I’ve attached:

Order details screenshot

Return/refund tracking screenshot

Email rejecting refund

Photo of what I actually received

This is extremely frustrating because:

This is a clear wrong item delivery

I followed the proper return process

The returned item clearly doesn’t match what I ordered

I’ve never faced something like this before. If even obvious cases like this get rejected, it really makes me question trusting Amazon again.

What should I do next?

Is filing a complaint with the National Consumer Helpline or consumer court the right step?

Any help or similar experiences would really help.

Update: My refund has finally been processed and the amount has been credited.

After contacting customer support multiple times and following up repeatedly, the refund was finally issued. Sharing this update for others facing similar issues.
