anyone else notice there's like 2-3 women max at every tech meetup in blr?

(F-21) I go to a decent number of tech meetups around the city. Every time

I look around, there's maybe 2-3 women in a full room. And weirdly, none

of us know each other.

Met a girl at an event last month building out of her hostel. We talked for

20 minutes because honestly, neither of us had anyone else to talk to. She

said: "I don't know any other women doing this here."

That stuck with me because I've heard it from like 5 different women since.

They're all building. Just isolated.

So I'm running a weekend co-working space for women under 25 who are

building anything—startups, side projects, whatever. Bring your work,

share what you're making if you want, meet people actually doing this.

If that's you: https://luma.com/kjd9k6rk

(If the comments below are "but why only women?" — probably not your

vibe, and that's okay. This is for people who felt alone in male-dominated

spaces, not a debate about whether that exists.)

random q but does anyone else notice this or is it just me

(F-21) I go to a DECENT number of tech/builder meetups around the city and every time I do a headcount in my head there are like 2 or 3 women max in a full room

the last one I went to, I was literally the only woman under 25 there. there were maybe 50 people

a few weeks before that I met a girl at a completely different event who was building a small brand out of her hostel room. we ended up talking for like 20 minutes because neither of us really had anyone else to talk to lol

she said something that stuck with me: "I don't know any other women doing this here."

and I've heard basically the same thing from a few different women who don't even know each other

so yeah, trying to fix that in a small way

putting together a little meetup for women under 25 in Bangalore who are building something. doesn't really matter what it is

if this sounds like you, drop a comment and I'll take it from there 🍒

edit:
The struggle of writing a personalized post (getting downvotes) and making a Luma event, hunting for locations SOLO, and not being paid or incentivized in any way.

Is more work than someone pressing downvote and ruining the efforts that come from intentions to make women more visible. Please share this with the girls and your communities. I need this to reach the appropriate audience girls

unable to send everyone a dm, here is the luma link: https://luma.com/kjd9k6rk

[MEETUP] Women Who Build (U-25) | Aug 23 | Bangalore, address after registration | 2pm - 5:30pm

A quick backstory because I feel like the people here will probably get why I’m doing this.

I was at a pitch night recently and ended up being the only woman under 25 at my table. There were 8 of us. At one point someone actually asked if I was there as someone’s plus one 😒

I wasn't even angry about it. I think I was just tired because this has happened to me a few times this year, and its fucking annoying

& I know there are more women my age out there building things. I've met some of them randomly- one is doing content, another is running a little resale business, someone else is building an app at 1am every night. They all exist, but somehow none of them seem to know each other.

So I thought I'd just try putting some of us in the same room and see what happens

No big conference, no long keynote, no awkward networking. Just a small group of women under 25 who are building something and want to meet other women doing the same.

You don't have to have a funded startup or a big following, and you don't even have to call yourself a founder. If you're working on something, I'd love to meet you.

I'm trying the first one in Bangalore and keeping it pretty small for now. If this sounds like something you'd want to be part of, PLEASEEE comment here or message me and I'll send you the details 🍒💕

Need 12 testers, will return the favor (Faith Tech App)

Built an AI Gita app because nothing like it exists for Gen Z - need 12 testers, will return the favor

Solo project, no team. Wanted an app where you could actually talk to something about the Gita instead of reading a translation cold - ask what a verse means, vent about your day and get it tied back to a teaching, that kind of thing.

I got 260 on my GMAT. Can I go to 655 (GMAT FOCUS)?

So a little about me, It's been a really long time since I had done such questions. I really wasn't expecting some questions and had forgotten concepts for most and made silly mistakes. I am planning on taking up TTP and spending 6hrs per day for 4 months = 720 hours.

I want opinions to see and advice on stuff. Obviously I also do not want to spend a lot of bucks on studying, since I'm from India. And ttp like courses are extremely expensive.

I would love to know what you guys think below
