My Chocolate Labrador Lashley was Abandoned without my knowledge. I'm Still Looking for Him.

This post is a part of my final attempt to find my chocolate labrador lashley who was abandoned 5 years ago by my father. I will first post a short introduction before explaining lashley's story in detail.

About Lashley:

Chocolate Labrador Retriever

Nicknames: Boochie, Dachaley, Laboli

Distinctive white patch on his chest also known as bolo marks

Age when he was abandoned - 3 1/2 years old

Current age - 8 to 9 years old

Last known area: Domlur, Bengaluru (near Jogupalya, Indiranagar & Ulsoor)

If anyone living in Bangalore recognizes him, knows someone who might have adopted him, or have any information at all—even if it seems insignificant—please leave a comment or contact me through WhatsApp/call +91 8660826795

Detailed explanation of what actually happened & why he was abandoned

Back in 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic, my family was going through a very difficult time financially and personally. Also during this time my father was suffering from severe chronic depression and other mental issues. After some time we had just moved to a new house, so my dad left Lashley to stay at my grandmother's house and claimed he would bring him to our new house. My father told me he would bring him to our new home once everything settled down. But few months passed by and this did not happen. During that time I used to visit him during the weekends. Some of the pics & videos i have posted here are during that time

So one day without my knowledge, according to my grandmother's account he claimed to take lashley for a walk and when he had returned lashley wasn't there with him. When he was asked about it he told her he had sold it or given it to someone but did not mention the specifics like to whom. When he came home he did not tell us about this. A few days later, my father took his own life at my grandmother's house. It was only then that we found out. During that time, our family was consumed by the shock, grief , funeral, legal matters, and everything that followed after my father's death so our thoughts were consumed by this and finding lashley wasnt at the forefront of our minds I also did not want to disturb my mother and other family members by bringing this up.

After some time we decided to search for lashley but had no idea where he went or with whom he was. We visited some well known breeders and rescue organisations but couldn't find him. Also found out that my father had also given away lashley's vaccination certificates & other things like prescriptions from the vets. So i had lost hope and finally decided that it was almost impossible to ever see him again. I loved him so much and wanted to be with him till his final years this was what made it so bad. I couldn't even see him to wish him a final goodbye before he left me. He was an extremely expressive and affectionate lab who always loved to be around me. I can't imagine how panicked and lost he must have felt after he was given away. He loved me like no other dog ever did. So I just suppressed those memories and went on with my life. But it just didn't work. For the past few months I have been feeling intense regret that I didn't do enough to find him, that I had in a way betrayed him. I kept dreaming about him regularly - both positive and disturbing dreams. So i finally decided I need to make a final and serious attempt to find him before he leaves this world. I want to be with him through his final years.

My search efforts will be both offline and online - I will visit every rescue organisation, veterinary clinics , breeders, pet boarding schools and kennels in my city. I will also be creating pages on every social media platform where I will be documenting and updating my search efforts. Even if the search fails i atleast get to preserve lashley's memories and get to tell his story to many. Hope this post wasn't too long. Thank you for reading

Looking to Help a Startup Part- Time

Hi everyone,

I’m graduated in Computer Science in 2024 and have around 2 years of work experience in the banking/IT domain.

I’m getting release from my current company at the end of this month. From next month, I’ll be starting my MTech in Robotics.

I’m looking for a startup where I can work closely with the founding team and learn how a startup works.

I’m especially interested in robotics startups because I’ll be studying Robotics, but I’m also open to other tech startups and different types of roles.

In my previous job, I worked in testing, data analysis, development and Scrum Master responsibilities. I worked with international banks from Saudi Arabia, Bhutan, and Mongolia.

Important: I cannot promise fixed working hours because of my MTech program. I’m also not looking for payment. Even if the company is willing to pay, I would prefer not to take payment because my main goal is to gain experience and learn by working with the founding team.

If you are looking for someone who is willing to learn, take responsibility, and help wherever needed, please feel free to DM me.

Once I find a suitable opportunity, I’ll remove this post.

Thank you!

random q but does anyone else notice this or is it just me

(F-21) I go to a DECENT number of tech/builder meetups around the city and every time I do a headcount in my head there are like 2 or 3 women max in a full room

the last one I went to, I was literally the only woman under 25 there. there were maybe 50 people

a few weeks before that I met a girl at a completely different event who was building a small brand out of her hostel room. we ended up talking for like 20 minutes because neither of us really had anyone else to talk to lol

she said something that stuck with me: "I don't know any other women doing this here."

and I've heard basically the same thing from a few different women who don't even know each other

so yeah, trying to fix that in a small way

putting together a little meetup for women under 25 in Bangalore who are building something. doesn't really matter what it is

if this sounds like you, drop a comment and I'll take it from there 🍒

edit:
The struggle of writing a personalized post (getting downvotes) and making a Luma event, hunting for locations SOLO, and not being paid or incentivized in any way.

Is more work than someone pressing downvote and ruining the efforts that come from intentions to make women more visible. Please share this with the girls and your communities. I need this to reach the appropriate audience girls

edit:
unable to send everyone a dm, here is the luma link: https://luma.com/kjd9k6rk

Honest and Brutal Reviews on our Product Please .... !

I've been building Pinaka on the side for the past few months — an AI agent that automatically writes root cause analyses when a bug ticket is filed.

The problem it solves: every time a production bug hits, a senior engineer spends 2-3 hours investigating before writing a single line of fix. The actual fix takes 20 minutes. The investigation takes the rest of the day.

Pinaka eliminates that investigation step. Tag a Jira ticket or mention @pinaka-app on a GitHub Issue — it reads your indexed codebase, captures runtime context via an SDK, and posts a structured RCA as a comment. Root cause, exact file, exact line, fix approach. Automatically.

What I've validated so far

Ran it against real open source bugs:

  • BullMQ issue #2487 — code only scored 6.5/10, code + runtime context scored 9.2/10 against the actual merged fix
  • Prisma ORM issue #29480 — open bug, no ground truth, diagnosed from behavioral contrast across test files
  • Pinaka's own Java SDK — found a real ForkJoinPool exhaustion bug, fix shipped same day

All three write-ups are public, including the limitations.

What I'm looking for

couple of engineering teams (2-150 engineers) using GitHub who want to try this on a real production bug. Free, no commitment. I'll personally onboard you and be available for any questions.

Works with Jira and GitHub Issues. No Jira required. One OAuth click to connect. First 5 RCAs free.

Honest state of the product

No paying customers yet. Building in public. The product works — the benchmarks above are real — but I need real teams on real codebases to validate it beyond my own test cases.

If this sounds useful for your team, drop a comment or DM me. Happy to show you a live demo on your repo.

Turned a client's product photos into a scroll-stopping Instagram Reel using AI — no camera, no shoot

A client sent me a folder of plain product photos — the kind every small business has sitting on their phone — and asked if we could turn them into something postable for Instagram.

Instead of a full shoot, I ran them through an AI video pipeline (a mix of image-to-video generation + some manual scripting/editing on top) and ended up with this.

Took a fraction of the time and cost of a normal shoot, guys let me know your feedback

21F and a final year student. Looking for opportunities

Hi guys. I'm 21F and a final year student with placement season. My college sucks. It's August and almost every other college students are placed (idk this is what I heard) and from my college only 3 students are placed ;). I'm hella cooked guys. I need suggestions/help/opportunities for

  1. Placements
  2. Off campus
  3. internship
  4. Tech events or conference where students like me can socialise and build connections
I'm genuinely having fomo because l've no certification and have done very less hackathons and events
I'm preparing well for the placements but companies are not coming
Can you guys really really help me with this and give some tips.
If you're a recent graduate or someone who successfully got a job through off-campus applications, I'd genuinely appreciate hearing what actually worked for you and what you think is a waste of time.

Also I'm lil afraid of creeps. I've heard from some of my female seniors saying the HR or whoever is hiring has asked them to sleep in order to get hired. I mean wtf? I only saw this in movie????

I’m trying to build something after my 9–5. Looking for a few people who are in the same boat.

I moved to Bangalore just about a month ago for work. I’ve been working with startups for the last ~1.5–2 years, and while I’m grateful for the experience, I’m honestly not where I want to be financially.

Most of my salary disappears within the first 10 days, and I don’t have meaningful savings.

I’ve realized that I have ~3 hours every night. Instead of wasting them, I want to use them to learn, build, make money, and grow.

So I’m looking for 4–5 people, preferably in Bangalore (but open to anywhere in India), who want to do the same.

The idea is simple: find clients → take projects → work together → get paid → repeat.

Could be anything around:

  • Software / AI / automation
  • Video editing
  • Design
  • Content
  • Marketing / sales
  • Or something else you're really good at

I’m especially looking for two kinds of people:

Experienced: If you’ve already freelanced, worked with clients, or built something before, I’d love to learn from you and have you guide us.

Hungry: If you’re early in your journey but willing to learn, work consistently, and actually build, I’d love to have you with us.

You don't need to be an expert. Skill matters, but mindset and consistency matter more.

And honestly, I’m also here to meet some ambitious people and make new friends. Would be great if a few of us could build something together instead of just talking about it.

If this sounds like you, comment below or DM me. Tell me what you do, what you're good at, and what you're trying to build/achieve.

No startup pitch. No fake hustle culture.

Just a few people trying to build something meaningful together.

NRI returnee entrepreneurs in Bangalore

Hello 👋,

I recently returned from 11 years in the USA with a goal to build, and I am actively working on it.

What I miss most right now is a group of like-minded people who understand the global perspective and global standards, are adapting to local life, and are striving to build something meaningful. I spoke to a few other returnees who are looking for the exact same community, so I am planning to bring people together in multiple small batches over the next few months.

There is no fee to join—just pay for whatever food or drinks you order at the venue. I will organize the meets at restaurants in spaces that make it easy to talk and communicate.

If you are interested in connecting with others in the same boat, please fill in the form below:

Building SuperGig: Our MVP Pilot in the Hosur-Bangalore Industrial Corridor 🚀

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share something I’ve been building from the ground up. If you've spent any time looking at the blue/grey-collar labor market, you know the massive friction that exists between local industries needing reliable shift workers and people looking for flexible, dignified livelihoods.

We are tackling this head-on with SuperGig—a gig-based app currently in its MVP stage, piloting across the Hosur-Bangalore industrial corridor in collaboration with StartupTN, alongside local training institutes, colleges, and employers.

The Blueprint & The Pilot

Our model draws inspiration from the incredible blue-dot ecosystem experiments (done by EkStep Foundation in Hubli-Dharwad). We are currently in the MVP stage and gearing up to launch our pilot across the Hosur-Bangalore industrial corridor.

To make this work sustainably, we aren't just building an app and throwing it into the market. We are partnering directly with local training institutes and colleges to bridge the skills gap, while plugging straight into employer networks to solve real-time shift demands.

Why Now & The Vision

Having worked extensively on the ground as a gig worker across multiple platforms, I've seen the retention crises, opaque payout structures, and high churn rates firsthand. SuperGig uses modern architecture, verified identity layers (like e-Shram/DIGILOCKER integrations via open networks like /ONDC), and gamified progression models to change how localized blue-collar work is discovered and managed.

The goal? Build a foundational infrastructure layer for the industrial workforce with a clear, scalable roadmap to unicorn status. When the scale opportunity hits, we refuse to blink.

🛠️ Looking for Core Builders (CTO & Flutter Developer)

To execute this vision at scale, I'm actively looking to connect with passionate Founders, CTOs, and mobile engineers who want to build something impactful:

Full-Time CTO: To lead our technical vision and architecture.

Flutter Developer: To build and scale our mobile platform.

If this space excites you, drop a comment or DM me directly. Let's connect!
