Just picked up this ‘97 TJ with a 4L I6, 173K miles, manual transmission and most of the upgrades I would want to do already done. Clean with no rust but a lots of slop in the steering, hopefully won’t cost to much when I take it to my mechanic 🤞
Bought in Jan 2025 at ~197K miles with timing belt and original air bag suspension replaced with traditional spring and shock system. Since then, I’ve added the brush guard and lights at the front, the new rear bumper with swing arms to mount spare tire and auxiliary fuel tanks at the back, the rear spoiler, installed 1-1/2” wheel spacers and Goodyear K02 LT275/65R17 tires, and replaced the original audio / navigation / climate control screen with a new touch screen capable of CarPlay connection and backup camera and finally the new paint job:
