So like starting about 3 weeks ago mby 2,5 i got like 4 of these within like a week and a half, one has healed but this one, one on my upper lip and one under my tounge are stubbornly sticking around

ive played alot of rimworld, though mostly when there was only 1 or 2 dlcs
now i notice theres 5 of them and i wonder, do you gain anything by playing all the DLCs at once?
i heard anomaly is very different from the others but what stops me from playing with it and all other dlcs at once and try to interact with all the mechanics?
like does the anomaly events and mechanics replace the vanilla or other dlcs ones if you start the anomaly events or do they just co-exist?
so im returning to play after like 5 years of not playing and i wanted to spice things up, see what the more recent mod community has achieved and if i missed some classics
you dont need to reccomend the mods created by Keith sammut and edit wands everywhere but other than that i really know nothing about which mods are cool
Like i assume they're not randomly generated and like ive seen the same battle map more than once

Ok... this will be a long post
I know people have said this about alot of seasons this year and last but i do genuinely think this one trumps most of them, and is atleast best one this year if quality holds
Where to even really start, its got some great sequels to some heavy hitter shows, like 100 girlfriends, mushoku tensei, clevatess, polar opposites, grand blue and tanya the evil, plus some great leftovers from last season in yomi no tsugai and bookworm season 4
But the most insane part is the new shows, there genuinely are like 5 seperate ones that would be anime of the season and anime of the year contenders (ofc if they keep up their quality but I don't see why they wouldn't)
But before i get to what I consider the big 5 non sequels i wanna mention a few others that are still pretty great
Some very good romance shows this season, including smoking behind the supermarket and kaiju girl for your hetslop and i want to love you til your dying day for some really well animated yuri with extra blood
Theres some old manga being adapted too such as red river, while the production isnt great and i hear the story starts off slow I also heard it gets really great if you give it some time and i just adore this kind of old school isekai. Theres iron wok jan aswell, a very insane looking cooking show with some pretty good production and designs
I know I'm endlessly yapping but im getting to the big 5 in just a bit. For slice of life/comedy fans we also have some very impressive shows.
We got a new original from A1 pictures called grow up show sunflower circus and as you know the studios last original was lycoris recoil, one of the most well received originals in the 2020s so im pretty excited for this one even of the stakes are way lower, it looks pretty and the girls are very cute.
Then there's draw this or die which caught me by surprise just how adorable and full of heart it was (and that it could just show real manga like one piece and frieren without it being parodied or edited lol) its just makes me really happy, also first anime with a tulpa aswell
Lastly there is uhh yani neko lmao. Why did they give this show like, one of the highest budgets this season? Just for the bit? And one of the best openings this season aswell. This show is not for everyone, its gross, crass, simply disgusting but honestly its so damn funny lmao, i rarely laugh at comedy anime and few get to me but this one really does. This feels like if the deer anime actually lived up to the hype, ep 2 even had a stop motion segment. I do wanna say I really respect the show for showing this kind of addiction in such an uncompromising and real way, hoping it can create some real empathy for people like yani neko because they sorely need it.
One last show that hasnt come out yet before i get to the top 5, one I'd say could maybe end up as nr 6 or 7 if its as good as people say (tho the previews are encouraging) it's "though i am an inept villainess and it gives me apothecary diaries vibes, excited to check it out on sunday

its crazy that i could write as much as i did and still have 5 excellent shows left, thats how good this season is
Awesome kyoani is back and is back swinging as usual, glad they recovered well from that terrible fire. So this show is an alt history steampunk story where every prominent would be inventor of electricity died when they were very young so current time is now dominated by steam. I have to say its great to see a show that can both have the more detailed artstyle and also have very expressive characters animation like the spindly noodle arms of the antagonist or the face when the MC stars yapping.
The animation and backgrounds are gorgeous, i love the muddy art of the background and the smokey mist filled world the characters live in, i have high faith in kyoanis ability to provide this level of quality throughout the run. The main characters are already very likable from the autistic yapping from the male lead and the hilarious religious nut female lead. Theres also this scene at the end of the episode that really impressed me, visually stunning and so creative, im excited to see more.
Wow oh wow where to begin with this one. This is a historical Josei drama about the mongol invasion of iran in the early 1200s. We follow a slave girl named sitara as she gets sold to a scholarly family in the city of tus. First i wanna talk about how absolutely gorgeous this show is, the artstyle is adorable and the like hand painted visuals are soft and dreamlike and alot of the frames look like beautiful paintings and sitara is just so damn adorable! Its very immersive aswell, it gets alot of historical detail right down to the very architecture and the story so far has had me hooked, i won't go into any details but it feels that by episode 3 the story will really begin
Another aspect i must praise both the manga and the show for is that it both doesn't hold back or try and censor the ugly things of the past like slavery but it also very importantly showcase muslim and Islamic culture is a positive light aswell. They take great care to show their culture in a historically accurate light and shows many positive aspect like the vitue of seeking knowledge. The show even has an azan at the start of episode 1. I just think especially in today's cultural climate that a show like this is very important, i can imagine alot of young people being absolutely overjoyed to get this high quality representation and it makes me very happy
Wow another show by science saru, are their animatiors ok? Should we maybe help them? They just recreated the same kinda mech and wire type anime with wonderful animation like some of the best in the 90s
I have slightly less to say about this show than the other because its an established franchise with many adaptations, i can say however that this one is very different from the rest. Im fairly sure this is the most manga accurate adaptation we've gotten in terms of tone and feel atleast. It's far more goofy than both the movie and SAC, it's action packed and silly but i bet its gonna get serious aswell, im so excited to see more, the backgrounds are gorgeous and full of detail and the action is so damn good
Cygames, cygames, cygames, is it possible for you to even have a mediocre show? Like outside of the very early stuff they did, i really don't think they've had a bad show and this is no exception.
Show takes place in 1374 and is about the son of a very prominent noh dancer but he feels disillusioned by it and feels dancing cant change the world and would rather just have a normal childhood and the story besides being a historical drama seems to be about the MCs relationship with dance and worldview. As every other show in the top 5 its gorgeous but every one of them is gorgeous in a different way, here the character animation and sound design really stand out, the dancing scene at the start of episode 1 is a feast for both the eyes and ears and after episode 2 id say im very interested in the MC as hes way more flawed than i initially thought
But... there's this one scene in episode one that honestly blew me away, its in my top 3 scenes this year easily, its beautiful so please check it out just cuz of that
And lastly 5. Sayonara lara by kinema citrus
Ive been waiting for this show for 2 years, ever since i saw the concept trailer i knew this was gonna be something special and boy if episode 1 is any indicator it did not disappoint. A passion project run by one of the starlight revue people no less
This show is beautiful, the colors and the expressive animation makes it feel almost like cell animation rather than digital and wow the environments. I could look at the gorgeous underwater world for hours, ive taken so many screenshots and I notice new details all the time, theres so much care and detail but in every frame in this its crazy. The MC is so pretty and so is the OST so far, that final scene with the water geyser is so stunning.
While yes most of the rest of the show will probably take place on land i have no worries about it, it just know it will still be beautiful. And seeing how revue starlight turned out in just 12 episodes i bet this show will nail its story and have very satisfying ending aswell
And there you have it, this season is just crazy to me, these top 5 shows are all wonderful but still so distinct from one another. I probably missed some shows but this is getting long enough. Hope atleast someone read through all my yapping lmao
I do think atleast for me this season has alot more interesting shows that spring (tho spring comes close) and especially winter if we're only comparing to this year
made me a bit sad but i think i understand why it didnt work
so i had a jester with the ability to turn into an elk to gain trample on my move and i also had a butcher passive that makes my cat trample towards the source of damage when i take damage
and for a house fight i managed to give c-1000 thorn and thought that if i trampled into him that i would damage him but also take damage from the thorns thus triggering the butcher trample passive i mentioned, making me trample into him again and create a loop
sadly taking damage from the thorn didnt trigget it because i think i take damage in the middle of my move so it fizzles out
