My game runs normally but lags in OBS

Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask this, but I was trying to stream the game today on OBS when I noticed that it was lagging. But it was looking and sounding fine outside of the streaming program.

I attempted the same with House Flipper and it did the same thing. But oddly enough, Stardew Valley was fine.

Making this even more infuriating is that this is a new development. I'm usually able to stream these games just fine! My computer recently updated, if that matters at all.

Please help me find a solution. Thank you.

My log file is here: https://obsproject.com/logs/Vk3jAGQdbkJicfRA

Also, I just tried to record it to get a log file and it said that it "failed to start recording".

Kids/family media needs more death and dark material in it

It prepares kids for the world, if you ask me. Heck, some children experience this sort of stuff early on! We may not like it, but it happens.

And besides, just look at The Lion King and Charlotte's Web. Both stories involve a main character dying and even though it's heartbreaking, it's necessary for a coming-of-age story like those are.

I just find it so annoying when kids and family media has a scene where it's revealed that someone either didn't die at all or comes back to life. Just look at >!TEC !<from Paper Mario TTYD. Or several characters throughout Disney's history. Or multiple characters from Doctor Who.

Now, I am NOT saying that all kids media needs something like this in it. We need a balance between the fully light-hearted stuff and the darker, more mature kids media. And we obviously need to be careful about how we're doing it seeing as how we don't want to traumatize anyone.

But still, we need more new mature kids stories out there.

Do you have any ships that you enjoy but also acknowledge that the canon material did them dirty?

I have two of them.

Naruto/Hinata from Naruto. They're an OTP of mine but the canon show/manga barely gave them anything to work with since the main focus was on Sasuke and Naruto's relationship. Fan works like Son of the Sannin and NaruHina Chronicles did a MUCH better job of developing their relationship!

And Shion/Allen from Xenosaga. They LITERALLY hook up at the last moment and aside from Allen pining over Shion and Shion being obsessed with her dead fiancé, Kevin, they have basically nothing to work with! The now deleted fanfic Maybe Tomorrow definitely gave them better material!

Honorable mention goes to Dipper/Pacifica from Gravity Falls though that one is more understandable.

Now, what about you guys? Which ship(s) do you enjoy but acknowledge that fan works developed them better?

Also, feel free to give out recommendations of said fan works! 😄
