VideoMic NTG problems/alternatives.

I cannot get my wireless pros to pick up any sound from my NTG mic.

I think the problem is that the NTG never records audio to channel 1 in my cameras. This problem happened two weeks after I bought the NTG and had Rode's customer service replace the mic.

Literally halfway through the first shoot I had with the replacement mic, channel 1 stopped working again. I've been using it for the last few months just relying on channel two and splitting the stereo channel into dual mono channels and duplicating it.

I have several shoots coming up where I want to use the NTG as a wireless boom mic via the wireless go pro but it doesn't work.

Can anyone offer any troubleshooting to fix any of these issues? I like Rode - their products are great and so is their customer service - but after getting a product replaced once and it breaking in the same way instantly, I'm also looking for alternatives to the NTG. Small, high-quality, shotgun mic that works with the Rode Wireless GO and aux cables.

First Breakcore test

This is not good but I wanted to share my progress with people. I've been tinkering with the m8 for about 2 weeks and finally feel like I have a grasp of the workflow. I've used Renoise and Ableton in the past to make shitty loops and beats but I'm really enjoying the m8.

I'm a novice when it comes to music production and struggle with alot of aspects of music - finding complementary sounds, complex melodies, and getting beyond a 16 loop pattern and actually making a song.

I've been really focused on taking baby steps towards actually making good music (for me at least) and I feel like I'm not there but headed in the right direction.

I need to learn the hotkeys to deep clone, manage/organize my phrases and song page, and start finding samples instead of relying on the hypersynth.

Feedback is welcome but I know it's not good so don't be too critical.

I can't for the life of me find the song that plays when people finish races or achieve something great. The footage is always in slow motion and has a really cheesy feeling of achievement.

I bought a J6 to pair with my m8 tracker. I don't know much music theory and was looking for a synth to find interesting chord progressions to write music. I decided to go with the J6 instead of the Hichord since it seemed like it'd have a better feature set.

I've been tinkering around with the J6 for a few days and it's really hard to get pleasing progressions out of it. I've been going through the chord set list on their website and the majority of them sound really dissonant.

I don't really understand the chord set list on their website. None of them seems to be in a single key. It's just various chords for each note.
