Went for a short hike Monday

I went for a short hike in McConnells Mill State Park and came across this waterfall.

Lovely Indiana sent us through this work zone in Elletsville. Had to raise the trailer as high as it would go to get the deck over the curb.

Often times plans don’t hold very long. This time plans didn’t last a day. Loaded Friday, went through inspection then drove 110 miles in 6 hours. The NYSP inspectors were almost 2 hours later than we were told to expect them so we couldn’t get to PA before end of day Friday. Sat Saturday and Sunday due to NY curfew. Met NYSP this morning at 9 when curfew lifted and we left. Made it to Danville PA 6 hours later. Now the PA permit expires tonight at midnight and we still haven’t received a new permit or a supplement that extends the dates. Our WV expires tomorrow night. We might be here a few days. At this rate I think we’ll be doing good to get this thing to IL and delivered by July 7th.

I sold the ‘09 6i and bought the ‘24 CX-5. The 6 was a great running and riding car. I just got tired of feeling like I was on the ground. Now to find a roof rack for the CX-5 so I can more easily load the kayak.

This move is going to take several days. It took 5 hours to move 100 miles in NY. It looks like PA will take 1 1/2 days.

I’ve rented a CX-5 a couple times and decided to make the switch this weekend. Now to get a roof rack on her.

Last week we knew the TN permit was expiring before we could get out of the state. We applied for an amendment to change the dates. TN said no, apply for a new permit. Now we sit waiting on TN. As slow as they are there’s no telling how many days this will take.
