Well well well … we can FINALLY open our glove boxes while car is in drive!!!

Well well well … we can FINALLY open our glove boxes while car is in drive!!!

Must’ve been the update …

Edit: apparently my sales rep was an idiot and told me that the car had to be parked in order to open the glove compartment. Carry on with your day.

Knobs vs pulls on kitchen cabinets; what are the actual design rules?

We’re choosing cabinet hardware and we are getting stuck on whether there are “rules” people actually follow vs just personal preference.

Our kitchen has shaker-style cabinets, and we’re looking at hardware (mix of round knobs + long pulls).

I keep seeing different approaches:

  1. Pulls/handles on all drawers & doors.
  2. Pulls on drawers, knobs on doors.
  3. Knobs everywhere.
  4. Longer pulls on large drawers and knobs elsewhere.
  5. Mixed hardware depending on cabinet size/function.

The thing confusing me most: large pullout trash/recycle cabinets. They function like drawers, but visually they often look like cabinet doors. Do people usually treat those as drawers (use a pull) or doors (use a knob)?

I’m trying to balance 1920s aesthetics with what feels intuitive to use every day.

Note: photos are not actual doors, hardware, nor my hand. 🙃

Anyone else seeing big homeowners insurance increases reflected in their escrow analysis this year? 😬

About to shop around for different insurance but my current premium jumped significantly and I’m wondering if this is common in Tulsa?

The sun hit these copper feathers just right and I thought it was blood. Slightly panicked. 😂 They literally grew in overnight.

12 week old Blue Olive Egger.
Clearly has some Black Copper Marans in the genes.

Completely forgot about this book until today. I flipped through it at the antique store and all the memories hit me like a truck.
