Normal sushi

Anyone know a decent normal family sushi spot? Not date night caliber, just decent quality fish, no frills necessary.

Used to bring the kids to Hooked On Sushi but it was so bad last night I can’t go back. Between the bad quality fish and the TVs everywhere, I’m done with that place.

Where you guys going?

Put $10k into 2019 Touring w/ 95k?

Transmission’s done - $8.5k for rebuilt replacement plus labor puts it at about $10k

Does it make sense to put this in or should we trade it in and cut our losses? SoCal if that matters

Gap around new stove/oven

Replaced an old slide in stove/oven and counter cutout doesn’t match. Gap of 1/4” along the side edge of countertop, 3/4” gap at back edge of countertop.

Looking for a cheap functional solution that doesn’t look too bad. Just want to avoid food falling down there in the meantime.

Was thinking of using high heat silicone caulking, but not sure if the gaps are too wide. Would a backer rod make sense or is that a bad idea bc of the heat?

Any ideas welcome

Remodel and addition plan - feedback request

Planning a major remodel and addition to a north San Diego home (near the coast but no ocean view). Proposed and existing plans attached. Existing home is wood frame with all raised floor except slab on grade garage.

We need 4 bedrooms total, so looking to make one of them a new attached ADU above the garage that can later be converted to a 1br ADU with separate entrance.

Trying to avoid California Coastal Commission review, so needs to leave 50% of the existing exterior walls in place to count as a remodel and not new construction under the planning code.

Any thoughts or suggestions on these would be great. Thanks!
