For people around NWA where do you usually go when you just want to get out of the area for a night or two?
I am not looking for anything super planned, just somewhere you can walk around, eat somewhere good, maybe have a drink and not spend the entire weekend in the car.
Eureka Springs is one I have been considering but I'd be interested to hear what other people around here actually do.
I am looking for ideas for a weekend somewhere in the Ozarks, nothing too crazy just somewhere with enough to do that we won't get bored after the first afternoon.
Thinking about hiking, walking around town, finding some good food and maybe grabbing a drink somewhere in the evening.
Eureka Springs keeps coming up when I search, but I'm curious what other places people would recommend too.
Where would you go for a relaxed 2 day trip?
Is it mostly about the pour for you or does the whole setting matter?
I have had Guinness in a few different pubs and it's funny how much the experience changes even when the drink itself is basically the same.
Sometimes it's the atmosphere, sometimes the food, sometimes just sitting at the bar talking with people.
What makes a Guinness stop worth remembering for you?
I have noticed a lot of restaurant recommendations here focus on the food itself which obviously makes sense but what places do you think have the best overall atmosphere?
I am thinking somewhere you could actually sit for a while, have a good meal, maybe a drink, and not feel like you're being rushed out.
I'm putting together a little list for an upcoming visit and would rather hear from people who have actually spent time in town than just pick whatever comes up first on Google.
