Yeah, hot take for sure. I’m not talking Pedro Pascal stache here, I mean an actual moustache. I do understand your qualms though as to why it may not be for you. Reed probably is the type of person to either shave it off or let it grow out, no in between, whatever takes the least amount of time away from his work. I do think that it does suit the character and makes for a pretty neat yet distinct design choice, gives off that classic American dad vibe which honestly fits the character. I wouldn't mind a moustache with a tad bit of stubble either. I’m unsure why, but I never really liked Reed without facial hair. I think a moustache or beard gives him character, and makes him look older since the character is quite experienced in the field, unless you’d go for a younger F4 I guess.

It signifies that he is world-worn, yet still able to keep himself looking neat even though he is scattered or his mind is likely elsewhere running countless things inside his head. It also differentiates himself from the others in a way, at least it isn't the abysmal moustache Johnny has now in the recent comic runs which is hilarious but I am yearning for that look to go. I think Reed having a moustache works, I’m also a fan of him having a beard too. I honestly think all of it works for the character, depending on the tone, story, visual aesthetic, etc.

Yes, Pedro wasn't really anyone's first choice for the role but I personally think that he knocked it out of the park. Personally had more than one for Johnny and Ben, so I didn't particularly have one down on lock. I had Rahul Kohli as Reed though, and was circling between Jodie Comer and Claire Foy for a little while but ended up with Foy at the end.

This isn't necessarily a FANCAST post, just really for us to discuss it and our thoughts, prior to the official casting that I ended up being pleasantly surprised by and thoroughly enjoyed. No racial discrimination or disrespect please, let's keep this civil.

Just to understand, I know that there is an official cast, I am happy with Pedro and honestly enjoyed him in the role, he wasn't my first choice and probably wasn't anybody's, but I grew to be fond of his casting and portrayal, I feel that he really delivered with most aspects of the character. That's just me, also, I personally don't think there is anything requiring Reed to be white, which was why I went with some people of colour as well. Reed being white is definitely fine, but him being another race is just as fine in my book, that's my point of view. And hey, tons of decent picks I’ve seen, but none have quite hit home like these five that I have stumbled upon.

Go as you please in the comments, with different ideas. Would you explore a retro-futuristic astronaut style, or body horror? What would you rather see happen or who would you love to appear.

As I plan on creating designs for a hypothetical Marvel universe in my art style, I wanted to share some early designs for the Marvel’s Fantastic Four. I am not necessarily an experienced artist, literally just 16 so yeah, I really enjoy my designs, I may continue with different concepts and hopefully get my final looks locked in, these were really just practices.

Fan Made, duh. I am thinking of it being a 2D animatic kinda thing, quite similar to a motion comic, but you get the gist. Spider-Man, Human Torch, and Deadpool are already established, the dynamic between Peter and Johnny has been going on for some time now, Deadpool gets thrown into the mix and it is pure chaos from there. It would have tons of humor, but heart and emotion, themes of “chosen family” and “acceptance” are key players in the story, but the comedic moments don't overtone it, I’d say it's a good balance.

The villain is currently undisclosed, the designs for the main characters are not yet created, the script hasn't been written but I have ideas, and it doesn't have a title just yet. But it’ll be chosen in the near future, and the designs for the three will be shared, also, the Fantastic Four are established in this universe, obviously, and they will likely make an appearance but this isn't their story. I have so many ideas and I think it’ll be really interesting, AI will not be used, no generated “artwork” images of any kind or ChatGPT script texts, I want to make this feel truly like THEM. It is obviously set in the present day, I think that's fitting, just expect the unexpected, that is a guarantee, and I know you’ll love it. Obviously, non-profit, fan made, and I’m being careful, but would you SEE THIS?

I’ll possibly/eventually get people (passionate fans) to voice these characters, it's really gonna just be a fun time for the audience for us making this thing come to life. A Discord server may be made but this is in incredibly early production, this has been an idea floating around for the past two months for me. And he is...Tom Brittney. He is 35 years old, 6,2 and English. He isn't too well known but from what I have seen, he already surpasses the stale regurgitation of choices such as Brandon Sklenar, Alan Ritchson, Jensen Ackles, and Paul Anthony Kelly. He’s got the chops, he can even play charisma and a presence that stands out in Grantchester, here is the real kicker. There were three finalists for the role of Superman; David Corenswet, Nicholas Hoult, and Tom Brittney. Corenswet was cast as Superman, and Hoult was cast in a fairly big role as well, that being Lex Luthor. So it would be funny if Brittney ended up being cast in yet another big DC role.

Another thing, I believe that DCU’s Batman may be quite stocky if that makes sense, this is just based off of what he looks like in Creature Commandos and obviously it is subject to change, only time will tell, other actors could bulk. But I just feel like Brittney is your guy, James Gunn, trust me, he is.
