July 2026 Boxy

I’m sooo excited! I felt disappointed at first at the choices for me but honestly I can always use a liquid eyeliner to keep in my purse and I’ve needed a light pink blush so I hope I like the palette!!

I got: liquid eyeliner in black (pick for me)
4 color blush palette (pick for me)
Dry shampoo (my pick SO EXCITED I want to try this brand dry bar and I’m out of dry shampoo)
Hair mask (my pick I think this one was hard. It was this or more blush or mascara I think… I’ve never heard of this brand but I think it was my best choice for me)
Skincare hydrating cream (my pick. I’ve never used retinol that’s why I picked it instead of a vitamin C serum)
I’m SO excited for my add ons. A new fragrance for me by Verb. I love Amber and jasmine. A new body butter bc I’m almost out of lotion. I hope it has a nice scent I’ve wanted to try a goat milk based lotion!

Am I the traffic asshole?

I was biking on a greenway street in NW. I am the pink bike in the picture riding behind and to the right of the blue car.
The car stopped in the middle of the road before the intersection, stop sign was for the crossing street. I stopped as well before continuing on and at the same time the car begins turning right and we almost collide before I stopped.
They had no turn signal on which is why I came home thinking I had something to rant about. My partner suggests I shouldn’t have gone past the car on the right when they were stopped out of concern for my safety but also arguing traffic rules.
On streets with no designated bike lane, should I ride directly behind cars and also never pass? Thank you.

Oregon Housing and Community Services Department

Hello, does anyone have experience working for or with OHCS?
I’m interested in the culture of employees, diversity and employee retention.

I’m initially skeptical because I know the general attitude from the public (in Portland) is frustration with homeless services and policies from the government.

Hi everyone! Im in an era where I love the pattern part of my sewing hobby.
I purchased a box of unsorted sewing patterns on Facebook Marketplace for $75. I wanted to offer two boxes for $100 but SO glad I didn’t because the box was larger than I imagined. It was absolutely a gamble as I am not interested in costume, doll, or children’s patterns. Those ended up making only 1/4 of the box!
I’m so excited to share this with people who get it! Seller said it was 200 patters but I honestly think it was around 300. I ended up loving 150 patterns, and there’s another ~150 women’s patterns that inevitably are repeats, there’s only so many button ups, suits, drawstring pants pattern variations until you have them all.

In a perfect world I will be able to get 20$ trying to sell the remaining patterns. I was thinking I could put together bundles and/or sell all of the vintage baby patterns. I have friends in mind I am going to share with as well.

Lastly I just want to share a small few of my favorites. I was happy to get patterns of short skirts, shorts and jumpsuits, unique vintage silhouettes, and 2 men’s patterns for my bf lol! AND honorable mention is Vogue 2146 I was searching to buy online and couldn’t find it.
Thanks for reading and sharing my joy! If you have selling or gifting ideas of extra patterns please let me know!
