I made a physical game

You’ll have to print it out yourself from this digital version, but it can’t be taken away from you once you do it. Unless your house burns down with it inside I guess. But you can just print a new one then anyways

It’s a great game to play on this sub and others when the topic of Sony’s announcement of eliminating physical games comes up and you scroll through replies. Hope you enjoy it!

It’s not working

The swarms of accounts coming here to tell you to stop caring and stop posting about physical games being phased out, stop complaining, it’s such a sight to see. In a single post hundreds of them replying to insult you and question your intelligence.

And then when they’re rightfully called bootlickers and bots, they say they’re merely correcting misinformation. Yeah ok, hundreds of people with no agenda but simply are offended by misinfo. If that’s your goal on Reddit then there are millions of other subs to go about your crusade for truth.

But they are so focused on this one issue.

Might seem to be just a strange occurrence and coincidence.

But that’s only if you don’t believe a large corporation with the resources and desire to try and sway public opinion about a decision they made that’s been met with massive backlash and is an ongoing PR disaster they desperately want to make go away by any means necessary is something Sony would do.

They put a gag order on all employees to not say a word on the subject, they knew people would be livid, so it’s not a stretch at all to think they would deploy a strategy to brigade social media to try and get people to either shut up or stop caring about it.

Desperation is a stinky cologne, and it reeks here to high heaven from the bootlickers and shills. This ain’t going away no matter how much Sony tries to astroturf and gaslight.

As someone who cares (part 5)

Now this one is truly fascinating. You may think it’s Sony fanboys or bots defending Sony’s defending the poor helpless corporation, and there are many to be sure, but here we have something truly mindboggling.

Exhibit 5, a self described PC gamer.

Either they’re telling the truth or lying about themselves. I hope they’re lying because if they truly are a Pc gamer, boy oh boy is the intense caring about something that does not affect them really on full display here.

There are countless causes and discussions and topics on reddit I don’t care about. Guess what I do? Ignore them. Like most people. But this one topic in particular goes against that so hard, they can’t ignore it and must belittle you for caring about it and tell you to stop, can you imagine why that might be?

As someone who cares (part 4)

Exhibit 4 of some fascinating behavior here.

The post title begs the question, why do I care?

The simplest way I can put it is:

I believe the decision to end physical disks by Sony will negatively affect me personally as well as the gaming industry as a whole in the future when it’s implemented.

Make of that what what you will. Of particularly note is that it is my opinion, my belief. It’s founded on experience in many areas that relate to the issue. Chiefly among them, that corporations are not acting in our best interests, proven by historical examples too countless to name.

Why do the people who accept the decision care? Does it negatively affect them? I would argue it does, but they frequently like to say that it doesn’t. Fine.

So why do they care then? Why do they care SO MUCH? Maybe they care about the industry overall. Sure, but that alone without a personal stake in the matter, to provoke such strong desire to tell others to stop caring, that’s some major disconnect right there.

As someone who cares (part 3)

I continue to be amazed by how much the people who don’t care, care.

Exhibit 3 in the series is a little different. Here we have someone who was not upset about Sonys decision to end physical games, but rather someone who was not upset at all and instead came to reddit to tell us to JUST GIVE UP on doing anything about it or speaking up.

Sony must be so proud of the fact that they have people who were so uncaring about the decision to make a reddit account a month ago (right about when the decision was announced) to make ONE post ONLY to say JUST GIVE UP.

As someone who cares (part 2)

Perhaps I’ll make this an ongoing series. Because I do care.

However, many have stated they don’t care. And frequently must remind you that they don’t care. And insult you or laugh at you for caring. They’re incredibly passionate about doing this. They won’t just ignore it and move on, you might even say they really care a lot.

Desperation is a stinky cologne and here is another example of someone who reeks of it.

Parroting the exact type of rhetoric that aligns with how Sony wants to handle the backlash: let it all blow over, you’re all idiots for caring and you’ll never stop us so your voice doesn’t matter, just give up losers.

How convenient that type of messaging benefits Sony while screwing over customers, just a coincidence surely.

As someone who cares

It’s fascinating to see the amount of caring that those who don’t care and tell me to stop caring. Let’s examine one of those here, and consider how normal this behavior is for someone who tells us to stop whining and caring so much.

Quite a lot of energy. From one person. I’m sure many of who you hear who care that have encountered these types people telling you to stop caring and whining could list many many more.

Maybe the scariest part is that this person may not be a bot.

Sony is doing what you asked them to do

They’re simply changing direction based on market data. Market Data which you, as a paying customer of Sony’s products, provided to Sony. Vote with your wallets, they say: you already did.

However..

I know it may sound insane, but sometimes there are other reasons companies make decisions that are not simple reactions to market data and are actually extremely consumer unfriendly. Sometimes they’re not giving us what we want and instead they’re taking advantage of us instead.

Listen I get that those types of behaviors are totally unheard of in the corporate world, but maybe there’s more to Sony’s decision than a mere reaction to market data, but of course we know that never happens right?

And they’re never wrong either, big companies never are on record for making the wrong decisions due to hubris and greed and a complete disregard for their customers that were previously loyal to their brand, destroying goodwill that was built up over many years before, this just doesn’t happen.

The announcement was what, about a month ago? And Sony is doing just fine since then! I think it’s best that everyone just stop talking about this whole thing, never have decisions been made before by any company that have an impact beyond the next day or next quarterly financial statement, never have mistakes been made before that had an effect long term or sometime beyond a few months for any large corporation.

They knew you’d be upset but they also know the announcement won’t hurt them at all, ever. Just accept that the big corporation can’t be wrong, and never have been.

Most of all stop talking about this because some people who really don’t care about it are really upset about you talking about it.

These people who don’t care about Sony’s decision are incapable of ignoring those of you who are, in their words, a bunch of losers who have way too much time on your hands and need to be passionate about bigger things than gaming.

They’re really struggling to ignore the worthless opinions of losers, so have a heart and just drop it altogether, stop caring about this physical disk nonsense for their sake.

And for Sony’s sake please don’t think they’re doing this for any other reason than a simple reaction to your current and past wallet voting, it’s inconceivable that there’s anything more to it.

Besides, it’s not like you’ll be able to vote with your wallet in the future anyhow, right? It’s all blown over, nothing to see here anymore.

I am begging you as someone who cares so little about this and knows Sony is just giving you what you want to please stop talking about it because I’m getting really upset about it and might have to resort to insulting you or gaslighting you if you don’t stop.

ICYMI easily missable tutorials

Maybe it’s only me who almost didn’t notice this and could have easily missed it but figured I’d share just in case..

in the Events section after the Iroi patch there’s the usual four characters listed (with only 2 of them giving rewards, Iroi and Skia), but you can scroll further down for a few more tutorials with rewards, Shinku and a few more A ranks.

Don’t think this has happened before (although if it has I guess I missed out) where more than four characters are listed in the tutorial event and unless you scroll down on the right it’s not obvious just by glancing it.
