Anger and frustration

Hi all,

Ive played CS since 1.6, CSS and have only played CS2 for around 6 months. I wouldn't say im a pro at the game but do play well for what the kids call an "unc" ingame. Was around 13k elo and have lost a lot of points playing with some really horrible friends or randoms, to the point where I've had to carry the team 7 out of the last 10 prem game, of which we lost each one.

Oh and i must add that almost 50% of games are full of blatant cheaters (wallers, smurfs, etc.), which doesn't make things any better.

This being said, how do you manage your anger and frustration when losing in this God forsaken game?

I am at the point of just uninstalling and just playing CSS, and selling skins (some of which are worth quite a bit and given to me by my brother who was very good at the game but left since his rank was full of cheaters constantly).

Thinking of studying veterinary medicine

Hi all,

Not sure if this is the right place to post this question.

I am a geotechnical engineer with almost 14 years post grad experience (5 years bachelor degree).

Ive alway loved animals and medicine; however, didnt like the thought of practicing in the field when i was choosing a career path.

Ever since the sudden passing of our beloved Lola (4.5yo Toy Cavoodle) to meningitis encephalitis, around 3 months ago, I have really been considering going back and studying veterinary medicine. I have something in me that "feels" like a calling towards it and the need to help pets.

Does anyone here know of, or was previously in the engineering field, that turned to veterinary medicine? Would it be a silly move to make at this point in life?

Thank you for any replies and for your amazing work

Hi all,

This Saturday will be 6 weeks since we lost our beautiful little Lola (4.5yo Toy Cavoodle) to meningitis within 2-3- days from when symptoms showed. The inflammation and swelling became too much on her brain, and she would not respond neurologically when the specialists tried to wake her up after the MRI and CSF tap.She passed in critical care at the best animal hospital in Australia, after her little heart stopped whilst being treated with steroids, swelling and other drugs... we are still heart broken and cry every single day.

I think the following YouTube video really speaks to the heart of our loved dogs and believe everyone should listen to this:

Please know, we are all here for eachother and the pain of losing our beloved dogs (and other pets) is unbearable. I hope this video speaks to you all (it may make you cry even more), and feel free to reach out if anyone would like to chat.

"See you soon Lola" ❤️
