The mfs I see in ranked the pictosecond I stop using Singular Point Anguirus:
you would be surprised how many times AMG as a unit has killed me this season because I JUST swapped out Sp. Angy after using it for like 9 months in a row 🥀💔

I'm not the only one who feels that most of the "rewards" Toho put in each space just kinda sucks right?
Minus the fragment slots, G-Stones, and the 2x spaces, they just straight up put pocket lint for the rest of the spaces that barely impact anything at all. I would be more forgiving if they at least gave you more than literal milliseconds worth of upgrade material so that they actually do something; like maybe 1,000 G-Tokens or 200 studio points, then it would feel like actual rewards even if they still aren't that crazy in the grand scheme of things, but at least they could stack up the more you got that space.
Also I think this is something I noticed for this event only, but it kinda sucks that both the Ride and Zilla fragment spaces are put before the 2x slot so you can't get 10 at once, I think you could at least get 10 Rainbow Mothra fragments if you were lucky previously.
Welcome all to the latest installment of the monthly unit review! The show where you get to read up on a yapping hamster's delusions about cool giant monsters in this goofy Godzilla game where you may or may not get a stroke by trying to understand a shop deal!
Each month I make a post talking about a random battle piece in the game, either chosen by me or the top comment's suggestion in the separate voting posts. My main goal throughout this monthly series is to encourage people to use battle pieces outside of their typical comfort zone in their decks, talking about the pieces' strengths and weaknesses to hopefully see more of it in ranked instead of the same 7 units.
Last month we covered Battra, the first leader unit of the series whose mechanic seems to remain stuck in the past to soon be forgotten, unlike today's unit whose old age hasn't stopped him from packing a real punch!
As by popular vote from last week's voting post, I present the review for Godzilla Earth (Mechagodzilla city ver.), or for the sake of simplicity, G.Earth Alt!
what does old man do (Strengths & Overview)
G.Earth alt is an 8-cost alternative unit to the OG 9 cost Godzilla Earth. This version of Godzilla Earth functions pretty similarly to the original Earth, with pretty similar stats and slow movement speed, but still has some key differences. For starters, it retains the permanent immunity to stun that the original Earth has, but instead of getting stronger for the less HP it has, G.Earth alt trades the strength boost for a permanent 20% defense boost against aerial units that attack it, making it a bit tankier for threats like Poster Art MG or Gyaos.
G.Earth Alt's second unique mechanic is when it gets attacked by anything, whether Aerial or otherwise; anything close enough will be burned for a short time and be given some knockback, though it's usually not that noticeable. This attack allows for G.Earth alt to get in some extra damage and crowd control a bit better against annoying spam decks that may otherwise overwhelm it. The burn effect is also pretty useful against enemy units with nullification stacks, letting G.Earth hit enemy units very consistently.
The only other major difference G.Earth alt has over its regular counterpart is that its main attack is fan-shaped instead of a short AOE line, capable of hitting every unit except aerials unless they get in the way, similar to Behemoth's attack. This solves a pretty big issue the original Godzilla Earth had about not being able to serve as a good crowd controller, only being able to hit whatever's in front of it and being helpless to any other attack from the side.
Aside from those pretty straightforward changes, however, G.Earth alt functions very similarly to its regular counterpart, serving as an expensive but powerful slow tank unit that slowly dishes out big damage while being able to take hits for whatever unit you decide to put behind it for support, with the only stat changes between the two being that G.Earth alt trades some HP for more damage.
Weaknesses:
Despite improving on some of the flaws that the original Godzilla Earth struggled with, G.Earth alt has created some new, VERY prominent issues itself that can really drag it down in some scenarios.
The BIGGEST problem that G.Earth alt undeniably faces is that it's completely helpless against almost EVERY aerial unit in the game. Yes, despite being given an extra ability that should make it actually better against every aerial unit in the game, and being the second biggest kaiju in the franchise outside of Void Ghidorah, he's made virtually useless by the fact that he can't even target Aerial Units. This means that (while very unlikely actually to happen in a real match), an enemy unit as trivial as the Dorats at a high enough level can chip off a significant amount of G.Earth alt's health, even with his burn effect! This means that for most flying units in the game, if G.Earth alt is in front of them and doesn't have any allied battle piece to back it up, you just wasted 8 energy.
Outside of being completely helpless against aerials, G.Earth alt suffers from a similar problem the original has to this day, and that's powercreep. With newly released units like Super Dragon Destroyah, Shin Getter Robo, as well as cost recovery BMs making many teams able to pump out insanely strong 6 costs ridiculously quickly, the high investment cost of G.Earth alt really isn't worth it when it can get overwhelmed so fast, even with a stronger and wider attack. To put it short, the high cost of G.Earth alt in a game where you can deploy powerful 5 & 6 costs quickly is too much investment for too little of a result G.Earth alt would be able to put up against it.
I wouldn't say G.Earth alt is a bad unit at the end of the day, though. Sure, he has glaring weaknesses to anything that flies or just being weak to modern units in general, but his raw numbers and AOE potential are actually quite good; I'd venture to say he's the best 8-cost right now outside of AMG leader. Alone he might get overwhelmed quickly, but if you can craft a team that can provide support to deal with the powerful 6-cost units or aerials that can get in its way, I think G.Earth alt can actually be a great addition to your team provided you play smart.
Final Summary:
In conclusion, G.Earth alt is a very strong, but expensive unit that can dish out great damage against a bunch of enemy units at once. Though, you should be cautious about putting him in front of a wave of powerful enemy units, especially if any of them are aerials. While he is very expensive to get on the field, if you can get allied battle piece support to help him defeat the strong push your opponent sends out, he can be very devastating.
I hope my analysis today will persuade people to give this unit a shot in their decks, and for those who have used it before, try to see how well G.Earth alt fares today in the current meta. Thanks for stopping by this post!

Truly the peak of unique card design in the new set. The same card with one change to energy cost and attack.
Why do all of the non-EX legendary birds that always have cool art suck DeNa 😭🙏
SPOILERS FOR NEW SET RAHHHHH
>!Ruler of the Skies trailer just dropped today and I think Wally might be one of the best Supporters for a whole lot of stage 2 decks.!<
>!Stoutland and Vivillon, for example, can get going by Turn 3 which is completely ridiculous, and if you ramp up some 3 energy cost Pokemon with babies or other energy generators, you can get things like Cyberjack Pory-Z up VERY, VERY fast.!<
>!The whole set hasn't leaked yet, so we'll have to see if there's anything else that would like to take advantage of this (There probably is), but I have a feeling there's going to be a lot of reworks to some formerly dead decks.!<
I decided one day to go through the list of every EX Pokemon in the game and think about which one is the most "forgettable" from that set. Whether that be because the card was so bad nobody picked it up, there are alternatives nowadays that are just better, the card only had a brief moment in the sun, or it just faded from play as more things got added to the game.
No Promos will be included (Not like anyone remembers most of them anyway), and this list goes up to Pulsing Aura since everything after is probably too recent to forget.
In the images above I have the card, set it came out in, and a quick justification as to why I think it's forgettable. Some might actually be good, some bad, but most, in my opinion, have a reason for not really being used too often today. Hopefully it's just not me being crazy and blabbering about nothing.
I'm really interested on what yall think of my silly little analysis on these cards and what you guys would say are the most forgettable cards in the game.
Edit: Seeing some people take this post as me saying which card is the WORST of the set which isn’t entirely true and its 100% my bad for making the wording confusing.
Any card from a set I chose in this list can definitely be good with the right deck, like Mega Lopunny and Snorlax ex; hell, if someone was crazy enough to make Lickilicki ex work I would love to see it. The point I tried to make in this post wasn’t to figure out which cards were just “the worst” of a set, for me it was to figure out which cards were used only for a short time or were just phased out over time, thus being forgotten. Again I have a tendency to not word stuff like that correctly and make stuff kinda confusing, so sorry if I wasn’t clear originally or even now.
Basically the entire list is my own subjective take and I can see why some people would sub in other ex mons for each set instead of what I think.
Oh yeah additionally on the Snorlax thing, I’m seeing a couple of neat deck ideas that definitely make Snorlax seem much better and its probably not right to call him the most forgettable from the set due to how long he lasted outside of his release set. I can definitely see if people put Primarina ex as the most forgettable card of that set for sure.
Edit 2:
Alright I am going to address the Mega Lopunny placement now.
Yeah my tired ass was making a forgettable EX list and forgot about Mega Blastoise ex 😭🙏
Mega Blastoise basically has ZERO noteworthy qualities that makes it any good and was basically never used after Crimson Blaze whereas Mega Lopunny can and was definitely used for longer. Blastoise was basically just too slow (and had a horrible effect) to really be impactful after its release set.
Pretend the Crimson Blaze slot says Mega Blastoise instead of Mega Lopunny.
It's been about 6 months and every time I come across news related to Roblox it's never really good. How cooked is the game now since I left?
I'm not too sure if this is a sentiment only I really have but I feel like the period with these two sets were genuinely the most fun and diverse to play so far. You had stuff like Leafeon ex & Flareon ex being one of the most satisfying decks to play, Primarina ex decks, Sylveon ex was a staple in a lot of decks compared to being virtually extinct now, and there was a whole bucket list of fun and fast decks from WSS too such as Crobat ex and Darkrai ex.
This was also a time where Hydreigon and all of the absurdly powerful megas didn't exist, Greninja was WAYY less relevant than what it became later, and it honestly felt like there were A LOT more viable decks that were actually fun compared to today's maybe 5 or 6 per new set.
What do yall think? Am I crazy or do you guys feel the same?
I was randomly binging Youtube recently when I noticed one of my recommended videos was Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla, listed as being Free with ads. I decided to do some more digging on the site to figure out if there were any other Godzilla movies that I could just pop on at any time.
I'm aware Shout Factory made most of the Showa-era Godzilla films free to watch a few years back but I also learned that a decent chunk of the Heisei Movies were also free to watch around the internet (most on Youtube but you can find the entirety of Godzilla 1984 in Japanese on the Internet Archive).
This got me curious as to how many of these movies you can find without paying for them or having to sign up for a free trial to watch them.
So far I've been able to find:
Invasion of Astro Monster, The War of the Gargantuas, Godzilla vs. The Sea Monster, All Monsters Attack, Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla, Terror of Mechagodzilla, Godzilla 1984, Every Heisei Movie starting from Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II, Rebirth of Mothra III, and GMK - Tokyo SOS.
Are there any others that I'm missing or are there more that I can find?
didn't know they randomly updated the game to put deadbeard in walnut hills tbh fr fr
So I'm in the Zombie Town Threed portion of the game right now and I got Jeff to fix the Broken Machine for the Counter-PSI unit since there's a lot of annoying PSI users later in the game. I decided to look online since in another playthrough of the game this thing just DID NOT WORK no matter what (yes I made sure it was on something that could use PSI attacks).
I found this explanation on Starman.net (second image) that says the item fails with a probability of luck/40. Jeff's the only one who can use the Counter-PSI unit and right now he's at Luck 7. I decided to divide 7/40 to see what I get and it was 0.175 (17.5%). Does this mean the Counter-PSI unit has a 17.5% chance of failing at Jeff's current luck of 7 or should I have Jeff's luck go higher to increase its success rate?
OH BOY WE'VE BEEN SERVED A $2000 DOLLAR DINNER ONCE MORE FELLAS!
