Top Chef dinner + 4 cocktails in Chinatown 9/17

Top Chef dinner + 4 cocktails in Chinatown 9/17

Thought this group would appreciate a different kind of night out in LA.

There's a Top Chef alum (Paula Endara) doing a one-night-only dinner in a small Chinatown venue.

4-course dinner with 4 gin cocktails for $135 with seatings at 6 and 8:30 pm

Could be a fun date night, friend night, or a good excuse to get out and meet people over food.

I help out with it, so happy to answer any questions too. Also curious - do you tend to try something new with friends/date nights or stick with your usual spots?

More info here.

Paula Endara is doing a one-night dinner in LA — thoughts on the menu?

For anyone interested in what Top Chef alumni are up to after the show, I wanted to share the menu drop for an upcoming Los Angeles dinner featuring Paula Endara (Top Chef Season 22).

Menu included in the photo. Which course would you be most excited to try? And if you've followed Paula since Top Chef, does this feel like the kind of menu you expected to see from her?

If anyone has questions about the dinner menu/beverage pairings, I'm happy to answer them here.

Full disclosure: I'm one of the organizers, so this is a promotional post. I wanted to share it here because Paula's post-Top Chef work seemed relevant to the community, and I thought other fans might enjoy getting to experience her cooking in person.

Looking for feedback: would this be up your alley for a date night or foodie outing?

Hey all, I help out with this dinner event series and wanted to get some opinions. We're putting together a one-night dinner in Chinatown with Top Chef alum Sieger Bayer and pastry chef Erika Chan (Dunsmoor), featuring a three-course menu with cocktail pairings.

Is this the kind of event people here look for, especially for date nights or unique food experiences?

Anyone here into small chef pop-ups / trying new dinner spots? (LA, one-night thing)

Putting feelers out—organizing a small, social one-night popup dinner in LA (not a big ticketed influencer vibe).

Collab: Top Chef contestant Sieger Bayer + pastry chef Erika Chan

Menu: foraged / California ingredients

Quick details:

  • 3-course dinner + beverage pairings
  • Small-group seating (shared experience, not a packed room)
  • Example dish: Santa Barbara spot prawns, English peas, uni
  • One pairing: High Desert Highball (Henwill Gin + grapefruit + lime + orange bitters + club soda)

Full disclosure: I’m one of the organizers—posting here because it feels aligned. Happy to answer questions (menu, sourcing, how pop-ups come together).

Question: If you’ve been to LA chef pop-ups, what makes one worth it for you—food, price, vibe, meeting people, location, etc.?

Top Chef's Sieger Bayer collaborating on a one-night LA popup dinner

I'm helping organize a one-night popup dinner in LA and thought some folks here might find it interesting.

The dinner features Top Chef contestant Sieger Bayer collaborating with local pastry chef Erika Chan on a menu inspired by foraged California ingredients.

A few details:

  • Three-course dinner with beverage pairings
  • Small-group seating and a single-night format
  • Featured starter: Santa Barbara spot prawns, English peas, and uni
  • One of the cocktail pairings is the High Desert Highball, made with Henwill Gin, grapefruit, lime, orange bitters, and club soda

I'd be happy to answer questions about the menu, ingredients, sourcing, chefs, or how the event came together.

Full disclosure: I'm one of the organizers. I checked the rules before posting and wanted to share because it seemed like the kind of dining experience that might interest this community.

If you've attended chef pop-ups around LA, I'd also love to hear what makes them stand out for you.

More information is available on the event page for anyone interested.
