Where were all y'all?!?!

I was on Storrow this morning at about 7, weaving left and right. I got on EB @ Charlesgate. Rode to Leverett circle, turnt around, went WB to the Fenway - Kenmore split, hit EB @ Charlesgate again, and y'all wasn't even there!!!

We gotta have some wicked smahhht folks up in here, I means, 'bikes', 'Boston', 'Cambridge', you know! Is there a modified or real-bike experience MPH calculator/metric? If not, let's fuckin' invent it.

For example: 25 MPH is the official, posted, but you get every green light, every walk sign, and the woman driving the MGH / BWH Shuttle blocks off traffic with a half-turn and waves you to go. All the while, car traffic is a parking lot. That's gotta be better that 25 MPH, no?

Conversely, you got a mom/pop w/their kid(s) on the bike path ahead of you, lots of oncoming riders so you gotta wait to pass 'em, MassHoles have blocked both crossways, red lights know your comin', and today errrbody got the memo to stand, not at the pedestrian curb to wait, but at the mouth of the bike lane entry.

Knaamean? There's gotta be a relativistic, time dilation calculus to name these phenomena! What's the formula? Has it already been defined?

I'm looking for a soft, simple, over-the-shoulder(or neck), phone holder. Don't want to mount it on my handlebars, just want it to talk to my ebike dashboard. I bought a hard-screw-it-in-lock-it-down thing that's doing too much yet still feels like it'll let loose next time I hit a pot hole or badly bumpy road. Look, I've ridden for a while around here and I know that scenario is unlikely, but, who knows?

Maybe an old sock or something that I can Jerry-rig and sling around my neck... Lemmeknow, please and thank you

You've got an 11:00 AM appointment and you see your 10:00-something Green Line train leave. You've missed it. As you walk toward your stop you're calculating how many minutes after 11 you'll arr...WAIT! The sun is shinning. I've got my ebike. You turn to walk home. On the way back your 2nd train approaches.

Home. Vehicle check. Helmet. Mount. Go. You pass the 2nd train. You pass the 1st train that you missed. Wind, sun, legs all feel good.

You get there early!!

Ride back, nice a little chilly. My fleece and I are up to... Shit... that WAS a rain drop... Oh, it's clear... nope! OH, MAN, IT'S A DOWNPOUR... It's not that bad, actually... It stopped I'm home.

Sunday, late morning/early afternoon biking in Boston.

Wonderful ride this morning. Beautiful along the Harbor Walk, real serene! ~8 miles in. Early enough to be the MassHole on the bike vs dodging drivers! Gloves on, good mix of light base layer, insular layer, fleece, windbreaker up top. Came out of a few layers upon arriving to work. Great start to the day!!
