Hey guys, I’m a cinematographer from the UK that films travel related content. I’ve started to try and shift my videos away from pure “cinematic film” to having a personal / filmmaking commentary edge to it. It’s new territory for me to speak in a video. I put out a video filmed in Paris recently, hung around a 4.8% CTR, audience retention 38.1%. I’m not really sure if the thumbnail / title combo was the right direction for the video or even if the voiceover was the right choice. I have a lot of content to post, I’m just unsure on the packaging of it, whether to stick to purely cinematic films showcasing my cinematography or trying to move into building a brand around me by adding the Voiceover. Anyway thank you for the read / watch. Would love some feedback :)
