theory: Faust is NOT based on Goethe's Faust

it is very well-known that each of the sinners is based on a work of classic literature. however, i believe that Faust is the exception, and that she is the original Faust that inspired Goethe.

what i believe happened:

Goethe, being an intelligent man, was able to time travel into the future. he ended up in the year 2030, and took an interest in a certain game called Limbus Company.

after playing canto 12, Goethe was absolutely amazed by Kim Ji-hoon's genius. when writing and designing Faust, KJH channeled a divine power which allowed him to create a character so extraordinary and perfect that Goethe could not help but be struck by awe.

upon returning to the 18th century, Goethe decided: he must create a masterpiece worthy of what he had seen after travelling to the future. and so he spent the next 60 years of his life writing a play to honor the incredible amazing genius that Faust is.

(further proof: it explains why Faust part 2 has Faust and Mephi travelling in time and space. if Goethe was a time traveller himself, it would make sense for him to write about it)

yapping about requiem

i'll admit my initial reaction was: 'CHIMERA COVER IS SO AMAZING!!!!! oh and requiem ig'. i was a bit sad over the lack of metal parts which are typical of Mikoto's songs. i think it was to be expected since John is dormant now, though there's still a chance of the song doing a switch-up somewhere in the middle? or it smoothly transitioning into being more fast-paced and powerful, like the 2nd chorus/bridge of MeMe.

i imagine it to sound similar to life, where the song overall remains calm and slow but it becomes more intense in the second half (listening to the life instrumental as i'm writing this rn) +life wasn't my thing at first, but it quickly grew on me to the point of being my fav T3 song now.

there's also the fact that the preview sounds oddly happy? it'd be interesting if the mv took a more optimistic and accepting direction. or if we get tone dissonance where the song is all joyful and happy while Mikoto is going through the depths of hell.

in the end i am quite excited for it and for Mikoto lore reveal. please yamanaka don't let your psych degree go to waste
