Do these appear fossilized?

Found in a creek in Missouri, they’re fairly big my guess is from a cow or bison.

Native American mound on LiDAR vs IRL

Hard to tell in the pics but the crest of the mound was probably 8 feet high. It had an absolutely massive oak tree growing on top so it’s certainly been there for awhile. The top had a divot where all those leaves collected so it’s either already been excavated or sadly looted.

Natural?

You can even see it on the satellite image. Nearby lots of Native American mounds.

What do you guys think

This is pretty deep in a national forest, the land doesn’t seem like it’s been farmed or anything there’s decent tree cover. Right near a lake. It would be a long hike but I’m trying to decide if I should go check it out.

The note from my grandma says this was a gift for graduating high school. The gold case saw a lot of wear there’s an engraving on it with initials but you can barely make it out.

The rock layers above and below are more or less “normal” with this layer in between. Located in central Missouri.

Both are 99% complete, I bet they appreciate being back together after all these years. The cats were trying their best but weren’t very helpful.
