Oasis App is Unreliable

Oasis App is Unreliable

After blasting a handful of companies on their social media for their testing data, Oasis App just admitted they used the wrong data in their claims. This isn't the first time this has happened.

I've also had issues validating multiple filtration products on their app previously when I reached out directly to validate.

I love the idea of what they are building, but people are making health decisions based on their guidance. Super irresponsible and frustrating.

The post that made all the fitness bros lose their minds

A post on Twitter about Olly Murs’s 12-week transformation went viral a few weeks ago.

Someone ran a poll asking which version people preferred, broken down by gender.

Most women picked the before where he looked healthy but not shredded. Most men picked the after where he looked leaner and more defined.

I’ve been moderating this community for a while and lately I’ve been thinking about this a lot when I see the daily posts about cutting, stacking, optimizing for aesthetics.

So much of it feels less like health and more like men trying to impress other men and not even realizing that’s what’s happening.

I’ve gone deep on compounds, body composition, the whole thing.

I get the pull. But there’s a difference between optimizing because you feel better and optimizing because you’re chasing something that’s being constantly redefined by TikTok and incel-adjacent fitness content.

Being in shape matters. This is scientific fact. But I’ve also watched guys get absolutely shredded and become more anxious, more isolated, more fixated - and call it progress publicly.

Anyway, I’m not here to judge anyone’s choices. I just thought this was worth discussing and sharing!

Function Acquires SuppCo, Bringing Trust and Clarity to Supplements

Function has acquired SuppCo, the trust layer for the supplement industry.

More than 50% of Americans take dietary supplements, yet the category has long lacked an standard for trust, efficacy, and safety - SuppCo was built to fix that.

How it works: SuppCo's app has ratings across 35,000+ products and has analyzed 500,000+ supplement routines using its TrustScore® system, which evaluates products across 29 attributes.

Earlier this year, SuppCo launched TESTED by SuppCo - an independent certification program that anonymously purchases off-the-shelf supplements and verifies their active ingredients through an ISO 17025-accredited lab.

Prior testing rounds found that roughly 50% of top-selling supplements failed to meet basic label accuracy standards.

Critically, SuppCo does not profit from supplement sales, so its recommendations are driven entirely by science rather than margins.

Combined with Function's continuous lab testing and clinician-guided protocols, members will receive supplement guidance grounded in their actual biology - not population averages, influencer endorsements, or brand marketing.

Why Function made this move: Every supplement is an input into human biology. These inputs can move biomarkers, influence physiology, and shape long-term health outcomes - yet most are purchased over the counter with little personalization or independent verification.

As SuppCo CEO Steve Martocci put it: "Joining Function pairs that independence with the one thing that's always been missing: a more comprehensive view of your biological data to understand how supplements are actually working for you. That's how we close the loop on efficacy and help people take control of their health."

And from Jonathan Swerdlin, Function's CEO: "You are what you put in your body. Food, prescriptions, and supplements are inputs that shape your biology."

Intense Brain Fog Post-Ketamine

I’ve been doing ketamine therapy for a few months now and having really intense brain fog for the week or two following sessions. Overall, I feel like my memory is worse now than before.

When I take psilocybin, I have the opposite experience. I feel like my brain is clearer the weeks after.

Wondering whether anyone else has experienced this?

Every week we get a handful of posts from minors anxious to optimize their height or other features.

I've been frustrated to see a minority of comments providing guidance or even encouragement towards minors taking HGH and other compounds.

Please remember rule 7 of this sub which states, "No guidance allowed for minors on peptide therapy, hormone replacement therapy, research chemicals, or other high-risk interventions."

Feel free to comment any questions you have or suggestions related to this topic below!
