Completing Ruler of the Skies

Hello!

Is it just me or "completing" the set (all diamonds + 1 Stars) is extremely difficult for F2P players like me?

I have completed all the ones before (exc. Deluxe EX due to the reverses), but for this one it seems way more difficult...

First Garmin - get started

Hello everyone.

After the post of some weeks ago and your helpful tips, I decided to get the Forerunner 970 which arrived today.

I never had any smartwatch (let alone a Garmin).
I mostly run, and I'm training for a half marathon in October and a marathon (or two) next year (dates TBC).

Could you please give me some tips on how to set up the watch?
I would also like to use it for the recommended trainings.

Thank you!

We Run Paris 10km - Dossard Reserché

Merci beaucoup ! 😊

Open air spots to watch champions league final

Hello everyone,
Do you know any pub / bar that will show the champions league final, with outside space / tables?

I'd like to watch it, but having a small baby I would prefer to be outside than inside (due to noise and "heat").

Thank you for the recs

Recs for a newbie

Hello everyone.

A few months ago I started to focus more on running and I did my first half marathon last weekend.

Now I'd like to train for my first marathon and reading online I realised a garmin might be helpful.

As usual, lot of models and lot of features. That's why I'd love some tips and recs from more experienced people.

My specifics are the following:

  1. Price is not too much of a constraint, however I wouldn't splurge if the extra features are not needed (I'm not too fussed about having the latest and greatest)

  2. I would wear the watch only when I train and (if it helps for data) also during the night. But during the day I would wear "traditional" watches

  3. I am interested in a watch that gives me: training plans, training infos (incl heart rate of course), gps tracking, and music (so I avoid keeping my phone with me while running). So generally a good "training coach". And sleep tracking if I wear it during the night. But I'm not sure if the fact that I wouldn't wear it during the day might make the rest/ sleep function less realisable

I saw the forerunner 970 being regarded as the best, but not sure if for me would be a "waste" in which case maybe a 265 is enough.

Any other model potentially suitable?

Thank you everyone in advance for your inputs
