What happened to X-Press It Blending Cards?

I wanted to start using my COPICs seriously and wanted to treat myself with a pack of Xpress it blending cards. Apparently they're sold out on their main website and I cannot find them anywhere else. Did they go out of business? Is there a shortage of materials to use them?

What's the next best paper to use, or rather the closest paper/cardstock to Xpress Its? I'm not too keen on using the store-brand marker papers from Hobby Lobby/Michaels.

Why did Don have six phone numbers for Duck Phillips?

In S5E1, when Megan is planning the surprise party for Don, she goes over his Rolodex with Peggy and tells her "There are 6 numbers for Herman Phillips," to which Peggy replies "That's Duck."

What was the significance of this exchange? The only thing I can surmise is that those were all different numbers Don could call to get in touch with Duck back when he was Head of Accounts back in seasons 1-2 (home, office, hotel, etc.). But why would Don hang on to any contact information for Duck in the first place if he clearly didn't like him and they fought before this scene during The Suitcase?

Are there any exercises/activities available to re-build my copywriting portfolio?

Backstory: Since 2019, I've been a copywriter for a franchising firm, a start up for a mobile app that never took off, and I was part of a team for HairClub doing direct response text blast campaigns. In 2023, I made the switch to grant writing because my boss at the time ruined my enthusiasm for marketing. After three years, I want to get back into copywriting, and preferably for an agency so I can write for multiple clients if possible - but I'll take anything I can get.

The Issue: The landing pages, which contained my strongest copywriting and design choices, have gone dead. Although I may have backups (screenshots of the pages) to "stitch" them together, I have to assume that they're forever gone. Also, given the AI landscape, I'm not sure if I should even be seeking to re-enter this career field.

My Goal: I would like to see what copywriting and advertising resources/exercises/campaign prompts I can utilize to help rebuild my portfolio. Theoretically, I can just make mock ads and websites on Canva, but I want to showcase that I can understand a campaign/project that is assigned to me.

Here's my portfolio. I'm only linking it to get feedback on what I should include. It's very simple because I just want hiring managers to easily browse my work: https://doocreativework.wordpress.com/

Any help is appreciated!

After hearing Mike and Jeremy do an AMA during a break last week, are there any alternatives they can do than the worn out "greatest hits" clips?

I feel spoiled to even ask this but at this point, I'd rather have silence than hearing the same clips every day. I get how they can appeal to a new listener but if they're going to keep doing that, at least add more into the rotation. They have 10+ years of show to do it with. I get if they can't use Billy or Stugotz, but YEESH.

Are any of these Grant Association/Society Memberships worth it?

I recently got a reference from a coworker about the Grants Professionals Association and an upcoming conference they will host in South Florida. It costs $85 for non-members to attend, $65 for members - with a membership to GPA costing $235 per year.

I'm a bit wary about these kinds of orgs/events because from my experience, I've never learned anything new. The CEO of my organization once signed me up for an $85 webinar from Philanthropic about 'tips for success when applying for grants". The webinar could basically be summed up as "just form relationships with grant funders," and they don't really offer any insight on HOW to do it. I've attended multiple webinars like this and there's never anything useful shared.

I just don't see the benefit of joining an organization of other grant writers, some of whom could technically be considered my competition. If anyone has any valuable experience from these memberships, I would greatly appreciate hearing about that.

Is there a guide to animating workflows that carries over seamlessly to the Toonsquid app?

I downloaded ToonSquid two weeks ago and have been having fun tinkering with it. I have no previous animation experience but I'm willing to learn. I watched a lot of videos on the 12 principles of animation so I'm ready to start learning how to apply them. What I'm looking for now is a great guide on how I can optimize my workflow on ToonSquid because I don't know much about masking or how to set up layers or key frames or any of it.

Any help is appreciated!

I finished the series yesterday. Obviously Hailey was put off by Logan's room because of its egregiously childish aesthetic (lots of toys and dolls, cartoon posters, very messy, etc.).

However, I couldn't get over the fact that Logan used socks to mop up dog piss on top of his bed, and then just LEFT THEM THERE. I'm not knocking him on telling Hailey because over-sharing and being super honest are traits of autism. I'm more taken back that neither his mom nor sister said anything about it or told him throw it away or literally just do anything about it . You can tell that kind of marked the beginning of the end between Logan and Hailey because the expression on her face was like "Yo is this guy serious??".

Idk, maybe it's because I grew up with a Hispanic mom, but if there were doggy piss socks on my bed and it was shown on national television, I'd be disowned and kicked out of the house lol.
