New L-TWOO RX or used Ultegra r8000

I've been considering revitalising my old trek 1.1 with rim brakes, mostly just for the sake of it. It currently has a very beat up Claris rd2400, and just about everything is due a replacement. I'll need to get a new wheelset and groupset, currently ive found a used ultegra r8000 which is is just shifters, derailleurs, and calipers. And that's about twice the price of a new L-TWOO RX rim brake with a cassette included. Ive seen the RX hydraulic has had some issues with QC, haven't found much said about the rim brake variant. Ive been on the lookout for 105 r7000 as well but there are very few used groupsets on sale around here, which is the main reason im looking at L-TWOO.

So is ultegra r8000 twice as good as L-TWOO RX?

is the pattern of shimano direct mount splines "open source"?

ive been trying to make an FSA K-force powermeter crankset currently set up for shimano chains work with an sram flat top chain, and finding chainrings are a pain. the crankset has a shimano direct mount spline, and im pretty proficient in CAD. i thought i could design and CNC a spider so that i can put 107 bcd sram chainrings on the shimano crankset. is that feasable? if so, are there any specifications on the shimano splines publicly available?

Fit3 "upgrade"/alternative?

I got a Fit3 about a year ago after my Galaxy watch3 died, and ive been pretty happy with it so far. However I wish it was a bit "smarter" at times, as it is only a "fitness band" and not a fully fledged "smart watch". I like how the battery lasts a few days, but there's no Bluetooth to send HR data to other devices (mostly bike computer). It'll the drain the phone battery because it doesnt have its own GPS, and being able to play music from it would also be nice.

I know all of those features would diminish the battery life, but is there anything I can upgrade the fit3 to that'll still live for about 2 days? All I've heard about the watch8 and watch8 classic is that they'll die after about a day and a half. I don't use AOD, and id rarely actually use music playback and GPS aside from on the occasion longer bike ride.
