Reading this is wild as a happily OAD mom

I’m currently reading this book and it is wild for a lot of reasons, but particularly as a happily OAD mom. It gives me so much anxiety.

Another “I fucking hate Chris” post

Just finished my obligatory annual rewatch and every year, I find myself hating Chris more and more, especially since I have become a parent. This year, the moment I couldn’t stop thinking about was in Season 2 Episode 14 “It Should Have Been Lorelai” when Sherry was obnoxious and pushy and made it abundantly clear that she desperately wanted a relationship with Rory and couldn’t care less about Lorelai. Lorelai, as the mother she is, gets rightfully defensive and a little angry. She confronts Chris about it and makes it clear that she will always be in the picture when it comes to Rory. Then, this motherfucker turns it around and has the gall to point out that Max had gotten to know Rory and Chris was not included in that picture. Bro, whose fault is that?! It is absolutely not the same thing. If he had made any effort to be in Rory’s life on a consistent basis from the time she was born, he would have known Max. Lorelai was the full time parent, always there and available to Rory. So, when she had a serious relationship, Rory obviously got to know the guy. Fucking Chris. The most unlikable character in Gilmore Girls.
