As promised, here's a little retrospective looking back at the last 24 days of the Nations. I hope you all enjoy reliving some of the biggest moments, the funniest twists and the chaos we turned into made up history of a made up nation.

Before I wrap this project up completely, I also want to recognize two people who quietly helped make all of this possible.

First, our Cartographer. I came up with this crazy idea but they helped turn it into reality by taking whatever vision I handed them and transforming it into the map that everyone followed throughout the game. While I was dreaming up narratives, writing articles and trying to keep up with the chaos all of you created, they were quietly lurking in the comments, maintaining the map and occasionally surprising all of us, including me, with little details that made the world feel even more alive. Whether it was changing pictures, adding flags to conquered territories or another unexpected touch, their creativity helped bring it to life in ways I never could have on my own.

Second, my Consigliere. Every day they patiently listened as I talked through articles, narratives, strategies, jokes and whatever ridiculous idea had entered my head. Then, after my regular job and my "second job" running the Nations, I'd clock into my "third job" running The Rivalry Times and The Chirp. They were there through all of it, encouraging me, helping me refine ideas when I needed another perspective and, ultimately, are responsible for bringing this retrospective to life.

To both of you: thank you. (If you're still lurking around here. 👀)

And finally, thank you to everyone who participated, especially those of you who were in the comments every single day (you know who you are). And whether you voted, debated, wrote propaganda, argued constitutional law, created memes or simply lurked, participated quietly and enjoyed the ride, you made this one of the most entertaining community experiences I've been part of.

I hope you enjoy one last trip through the Nations Hollanov's history. 💛

Today, the citizens of the Nations made history.

Following the Cottage Referendum, the Hollander and Rozanov nations have been voluntarily united into a single sovereign state to be known as Hollanov, bringing the Nations to a close without a final elimination. For the first time in Nations history, citizens chose unification over conquest. Rather than declaring one nation victorious and the other defeated, they elected to preserve the partnership that had shaped the map throughout the competition.

The adoption of the Hollanov Amendment marks not the end of the Nations, but the birth of a new one.

The map is finally complete.

Yesterday, the Nation of Yuna fell.

Following its collapse, former Yuna territory was transferred to Ilya Rozanov, leaving just two nations standing and bringing the Nations to their final showdown. Yuna's departure marks the end of one of the competition's most influential figures. Whether remembered as a strategist, a devoted mother or the woman many believed was quietly pulling the strings from behind the scenes, her presence was felt far beyond the borders of her own nation. As she departs the Nations, citizens across the map bid farewell to a formidable rival, a loyal ally and the woman who may or may not have been behind more than anyone ever proved.

Only two nations remain.

The final vote awaits. 🌎

Yesterday, the Nation of David fell.

Following its collapse, former Hollander territory was distributed between Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov, leaving just three nations standing. David's departure marks the beginning of the Nations' final chapter. Once a father fighting to protect his family, he became a steadfast pillar of the Hollander-Rozanov alliance, helping shape the map as it narrowed toward its inevitable conclusion. Though his campaign has come to an end, David leaves behind a legacy of loyalty, quiet resolve and unwavering support for those closest to him.

As he departs the Nations, citizens across the map bid farewell to a devoted father, a steadfast ally and a worthy competitor.

Only three nations remain.

The end is finally in sight. 🌎

Yesterday, the Nation of Scott fell.

Following its collapse, former Hunter territory was distributed among Shane Hollander, Ilya Rozanov and David Hollander, further strengthening the Hollander-Rozanov position and bringing an end to the Admirals as a political force within the Nations. Scott's departure marks the elimination of the final Admiral and closes the chapter on one of the most enduring factions on the map. For much of the competition, the Admirals remained a steady presence amid shifting alliances and changing political fortunes. Now, at long last, Scott and Kip are together once more.

As he leaves the Nations, citizens across the map offer their respect to a worthy rival, a loyal ally and the Last Admiral. And wherever his journey leads next, we know it comes with plenty of sunshine.

Yesterday, the Nation of Carter fell.

Following its collapse, former Vaughn territory was partitioned between Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov, further strengthening their position in the west and leaving Scott Hunter as the last remaining Admiral on the map. Carter's departure marks the end of one of the last major western powers and the first Admiral elimination of the competition.

Witnesses report that upon learning the news, Carter wrapped an arm around both Shane and Ilya and exclaimed:

"Cats and dogs, look at this. Fucking beauties!"

Yesterday, the Nation of Elena fell.

Following its collapse, former Elena territory was partitioned between Yuna Hollander and Ilya Rozanov, further expanding eastern influence and increasing the shared border between Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov.

Elena's departure also brings an end to the Svetlena alliance, a fiercely loyal and unapologetically powerful partnership. Rarely intimidated by anyone, the two nations remained a formidable presence throughout the competition. As Elena departs the Nations, citizens across the map wish her nothing but sunshine.

Yesterday, the Nation of Maria fell.

Following its collapse, former Maria territory became part of the Hollander nation, further expanding Shane's territory and finally bringing Shane and Ilya's territories into direct contact.

Witnesses report Maria was informed what the territorial redistribution would mean. After a brief pause, she offered a single comment:

"Girl."

Yesterday, the Nation of Connors fell.

Following its collapse, the territory was annexed by Shane Hollander, further expanding the Hollander presence across the map.

A longtime Raiders player and friend of Ilya Rozanov, Connor's departure marks the end of another familiar face from the early days of the Nations. Witnesses report he was last seen checking into a nearby hotel, where he finally intends to enjoy room service uninterrupted.

Yesterday, the Nation of George Grady fell.

Following its collapse, former Grady territory was partitioned between Yuna Hollander and Ilya Rozanov, further reshaping the eastern half of the map.

George's departure comes just one round after the fall of Kipland, bringing the Grady chapter of the Nations to a close. Witnesses report he was last seen giving hugs before heading west.

Yesterday, the Nation of Kip Grady fell.

Following its collapse, former Kipland territory was redistributed between Elena, Yuna and George Grady. The settlement expanded all three nations while allowing George to retain a portion of his son's former holdings.

Kip's elimination comes after several days of intense political debate surrounding the future of Kipland, the Grady Bloc and the nation's increasingly uncertain position on the map.

The former leader was reportedly last seen traveling west.
