Pixel 11 Pro Endurance & Efficiency Test: +2h over 10 Pro, but still far behind rivals

>Battery Life: Still not enough

The Pixel 11 Pro shows slight improvement in an area where the lineup has long struggled. It has to make do with a smaller battery than its predecessor—4,850 mAh compared to 4,870 mAh on the Pixel 10 Pro—but the Tensor G6 proves to be more power-efficient. In our viSer test simulating standard usage, it reached 17 hours and 36 minutes, nearly two hours longer than the previous model. A full day of use is well within reach, even though Google remains among the least enduring in our comparison.

Hi,

Apple’s documentation states that the Heart Rate sensor on the AirPods Pro 3 is ON by default, and instructions only show how to disable it via an iPhone.

I use my AirPods on Android and Mac, but I don't have an iPhone and there's no option to disable the sensor in macOS settings.

  1. Does the sensor stay active "in the void" when connected to Android or Mac?
  2. Is it causing a constant battery drain even if the heart rate data isn't being used or recorded?

Thanks

I just unboxed my Galaxy Buds 4 Pro, and I’m noticing a disappointing issue. When ANC is turned on in a quiet room, there’s a very audible white noise / hissing sound.

It is significantly more noticeable than on my old Buds 2 Pro, which were almost dead silent in the same conditions.

Here is what I’ve tried so far to fix it:

  • Tested on multiple devices.
  • Checked for the latest firmware updates.
  • Performed a factory reset.
  • Tried different ear tip sizes to ensure the fit wasn't the issue.
  • Adjusted ANC intensity/sensitivity (no change).
  • Ran the diagnostic tests in the Wearable app (everything passed).

The "hiss" is even worse in Ambient Mode, which is somewhat logical, but the floor noise in ANC mode is distracting enough to ruin the experience for me.

At this point, I’m leaning towards returning them. I'm wondering: Do you think this is a fundamental design flaw ?

Has anyone else noticed this increase in background static compared to the previous generation or even competitors like the AirPods Pro 2/3? I’d love to hear your experience before I send them back.
