2nd false positive? or is this real..

Month or 2 ago had a very visible line, got way to excited and hopeful, got the blood test done, was deemed a false positive. Today I take a First Response Early test (read within the time window, get this very faint, light pink line. Not trying to get myself super excited just to potentially be let down again, but fingers crossed! Gonna test in another day or two to see if there’s any progression. Even my husband says he actually sees a line this time which is very unusual for him to state. He also said he hasn’t noticed me having any of my PMS like I usually do a week before my period is due (my period is due in less than 2 days). We’ve been trying for months. 🥹

5 days post-op

5 days post-op left hand (open), this recovery has been a breeze so far in comparison to other surgeries I’ve had in the past. Starting to itch at the incision site, so it’s definitely ramping up on healing. I honestly don’t think I’ve had any numbness or tingling since the surgery, I would almost always wake up with really bad numb, fuzzy feeling hands(my left being severe). I’m slowly starting to be able to turn door knobs better day by day, some hand movements are still awkward but I know it will only get better from here. Pictures are from the last few days, last picture being today.😌

Question

Anyone take their wrap off the day or two after their surgery? I have waterproof nonstick bandages and covers I want to use. They say to move the hand around and use it but no lifting, tugging, pulling anything over 5 pounds, however the damn wrap is so thick that I can hardly move my hand around, and it’s so thick I can’t even feel any of the cold from the ice packs I’ve been using on and off lol. I’ve had multiple surgeries in the past and have been so use to putting vasaline/petroleum jelly on them asap so it heals better and minimal scarring. I don’t plant on getting it wet or submerged for the first week or so as advised, I’ve been using a post-surgery waterproof sleeve thing for showering. Anyone else do this with no issue?

Finally got it done!

Left carpal tunnel release (open) was done today. This is my most dominant hand, so I’ve been trying to figure out how to do things with my right hand since I got home. Was awake for the whole thing which was pretty cool. Only thing that freaked me out a little was when they did the block and my hand and wrist puffed up so much it almost looked deformed to me🤣 Been almost 5 hours so far, slowly starting to feel some achey sensation at the base of my thumb. Any advice would be great! Thank you 😌

Thalassophobia

I never use to be afraid of open, deep water. When I was a kid I was pretty much a fish, always swimming in the lake or ocean, boogie boarding, etc. Now, I’m 30 and for the past several years just the site of waves on the ocean, dark water whether it be lakes, oceans, rivers that you cannot see below, any kind of drop offs, fearing almost everything in the ocean, even the tides/currents. Mind you, I spent roughly 6 years of my life in the Navy, always stationed near some body of water. Even simply seeing those videos of rough seas gives me chills. However, I tend to do better in smaller bodies of water and if you can see the bottom. Has anyone ever gotten over this? I bought a paddle board last year and I want to use it so bad this summer, I’ve been thinking of just going for it and giving myself some exposure therapy on my own. Any advice would be great.

Surgery next week

Getting my carpal tunnel release done on my left hand next week(open). How was the recovery? Has anyone had muscle tightness issues due to carpal tunnel and gotten some good relief after healing? My right hand will be done at some other time in the future. Thank you in advance!

10 dpo, is this real life!?

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for months now. Took this today and it popped up within moments. First response early result. So excited but don’t want to get my hopes up just yet!
