Debating wether to buy now or wait until after July 4th announcement

Current sale goes on until July 9th so I'm wondering if it would be worth waiting until after the announcement in case a new DLC is announced. Do they usually release new content right after it's announced?

Can we also ban AI artwork and videos?

I think it’s pretty clear that it’s not welcome here even though it’s not officially banned. I think it would be great if we were able to report these to get them removed.

I rather see the most botched graphic design than some AI crap. I’m sure I’m not alone with this.

Did well in Rookies, should I get into the Mustang Challenge?

I’m new to iRacing but not sim racing. Got a few podiums and one win while making it out of rookies. All races were clean except for one where I got shunted twice, though not intentionally. I’m starting my D license with a 2.41 SR and 1.5 iRating.

I wanted to go straight into the GT4s and Porsche Cup but just learned they were recently changed to C license, only leaving the Mustang GT4. It’s a bummer but it makes sense.

I haven’t driven the Mustang, but I liked the other GT4 cars I tried during demo drive. My concern is that I’m hearing the racing can be a bit chaotic, since the car can be challenging and the races can mix a wide range of iRatings together.

I definitely rather race a GT4 than the M2 or Mazda, but not if I’ll be getting shunted in every other race and losing SR.

Professional home studio in Vancouver, BC

Managed to make this relatively small space usable for producing, mixing, tracking (vocals, guitars, bass, drums, percussion), and sim racing! Despite it being a bit crammed and not having much room for plants, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

First time building a PC, let the wifey do the best part

I knew she was gonna love this part so I surprised her by letting her do all 4 sides

This alone was worth suffering through the Corsair ARGB fan cable management mess

Moving on from PS5 and GT7

Really tried to make it work with the PS5, as it’s the worst time to build a gaming PC, but it just wasn’t working for me.

GT7 felt like it was creating bad habits and it requires you to abuse the physics engine to get fast lap times. Other sims were better, but the lack of VR support, triple screens or even ultra wide displays really wasn’t working for me. The last nail in the coffin was the terrible online multiplayer experience on GT7.

I wish I could have gone straight into iRacing or LMU, as I now have to really step my braking, trail braking and race craft game up, but at least some of the skills I learned transfer over. I guess the good thing is now I know for sure that PC sim racing really is worth the big investment.
