Bought a heat Exhaust.

Many years ago, the early 2k, I had a very hot running rig. AMD Athlon with a 3DFX Voodoo 2. In summer, I had to remove a side panel and put a desk fan next to it.

Anyway, at the time, most cases were fully sealed, not much in the way of straight airflow and ventilation the way we see today. So to close it back up, I bought an exhaust...

Now, the heatwave that has been across continents has made me reach back to such technologies. I was surprised to see the same model available.

It arrived yesterday, and I have installed it. It isn't a quiet solution.

I will need to see what next week brings if the temperatures soar again.

Has anyone else attempted using these now?

Ideally, I would want something higher up sucking the heat out.

Right now, no X-Men '97 on Disney+

Just thought I would have one last pre binge, but it isn't there.

Probably in prep for new episodes maybe?

Aesthetic appreciation -

With all the "WHAT CRUISER" posts, I just thought we should appreciate the common, clean and sleek aesthetic that these ships adhere to.

The irony that these didn't all come from the same manufacturer in cannon, clearly we had a designer that had a vision.

Let's do that again: Recently, I have been playing the Update to TIE Fighter - Total Conversion.

The game stays VERY faithful to the original game with graphical updates, and it has added in some old clone era ships for non aligned actions (which didn't exist at the making of the game), such as Acclamators and Recusants. But it also has added in newer era ships as well, we still have our Lancers, but the Raider and the Arquitens have also been added to the mix.

Previous images uploaded were lazy attempts re remove the shadows from the models. But I had done an 18 hour stint so had a feck it that's good enough moment before bed.

Been playing TIE Fighter, total conversion.

It stays very faithful to the original I played in 1994, but has included a few Clone Wars era ships for militia and rim factions.

These are some of the small, early campaign fleets.

Still new at this.

I have entered this quite cheaply... I'll get flamed but I bought a set of X52s. Reason for this, when I was 14 I worked multiple paper rounds and bought the X35F and X35T. So there is a heavy nostalgia. I still have these but A they are game port, and B their rubber has perished...

Anyway, this seems to be a massive rabbit hole.

Do I want chair fixings, or do I want desk fixings? I am leaning to chair, but wondered what everyones thoughts and feelings were on either side. Both seem to start the same pricing.

I have purchased a usb hub to extend some length, etc. What are the thought here?

Playing MechCommander - Original (I found my disc the other day). It took me multiple replays of a few missions, but I have managed to rack up 11 Vultures, and 2 MadCats. However...

Surely there much be an easier way to get these buggers...

The previous mission, I have replayed 5 times. It has two Madcats in it and a Masakari. But I haven't been able to salvage them. All my pilots have almost maxed out Gunnery skill, so I am hoping that they're shots are accurate. I read somewhere that you can tell them to do a controlled attack?? I have not seen this ability anywhere.

I really want 4 Madcats. maybe another Vulture.

I have Hunchback IIs up the wazoo.

Oh, and one final question... is there a good resource for best loadouts of the mechs for maximum damage per second? Or Alpha Strikes? (I assume best alpha strikes really is just fully load out on Clanner LRMs, but I could be wrong.)

Ideally I was looking for best Damage per recycle, based on Tonnage. So what is the best damage output to tonnage ratio.
