Hate fighting for chairs

We are looking at an all inclusive 7 nights, from Toronto, anywhere warm, any week of Nov, max $4000pp CAD.
Has anyone had any experience at a nice place where you didn’t have to reserve beach or pool chairs at 7am or earlier?
We’ve had swim up rooms and have never been able to use them because they were always cold and in the shade. I’m not sure it’s the best idea to spend the extra money on the upgrade when we can’t guarantee we can even use it.
So that’s my question - any resorts where I can go to the pool or beach and there are still umbrella spots after 10am?

My MIL is a nightmare

My mother in law hadn’t seen a doctor in 30 years. I’ve been with my husband for 21 years. I’ve noticed tremors and other issues and we both encouraged her for 21 years to see a doctor. She refused. She doesn’t have a family doctor and refused to get one.

Fast forward to today. She’s been admitted to the hospital for three weeks now. She has Parkinson’s, a fib, chf, hypertension, the list goes on. She thinks all of this should be solved and she will go home next weekend. She refuses physio and half her tests. She acts like she’s doing the team a favour is she does these things and in her words “she’s sick of doing everything for everyone”.

She is also confused and hallucinating. Unfortunately her already established vile racism is emphasized. She hates every nurse, unless they are white. The brown people are stealing from her and partying all day and night. She spews venom at all the hospital staff, unless they are white.

We can’t handle this anymore. My husband is kind and keeps visiting her because he feels bad for her. She has nobody. We are trying to get her into a long term care home close to us. She can’t walk or even sit on the side of the bed but she thinks she’s fine to go home alone. We are scared that the hospital will say no problem, go on home. And then she will be our problem to deal with. We live hours from her. We are currently travelling multiple times per week to take care of her cat that we said she shouldn’t get (waiting for space to surrender her to the spca). Her comment to us - “you need to be more supportive of me. Be on my side”. She thinks nobody has ever gone through something this difficult.

I guess this is just a vent. I hope I’m never like that. I mean I won’t be a vile racist cunt, but I hope I will be realistic with my elder years. And makes plans when for when im unable to care for myself. I hate this woman with my entire soul.
